CHANGE IS A COMING—BUT YOUR LIFE CAN MAKE ALL THINGS NEW
As you accept with patience and surrender the difficulties you encounter throughout life on a daily basis, so will you find flowing into you through the Crown Chakra, a Light or life-force which will remove all anxiety and pain, making each day a new experience. This comes to each one of us gently, slowly, as we open ourselves from within to receive the gifts of Spirit. Occasionally you will become aware of a glow within your heart, or of a light feeling, and you will become aware of the harmony which is shaping your life right now through the power of the Divine.
If you direct kind and loving right thoughts to those around you, and begin to put the action of the Law of Love in front of any circumstances you may find yourself in, you will find that these troubles and upsets will gradually smooth themselves out. Events will begin to work more harmoniously for you and you will begin to feel, “God is very good to me.” You begin to realize that within you as you practice your daily meditations, there is a power building, a feeling of Love and support, which is helping you actively. This energy will guide you towards the desired balance of Love, Peace and Harmony within your heart.
This glow within your heart which brings to you such sweet happiness and joy may remain for a few minutes, a few hours, or a few days – and then may disappear. Never fear for slowly this power and gratitude will increase within you. As your life continues, you will experience this renewing energy more often, for you are Ascending up a spiral of Light and strengthening your vibration, which will eventually bring you, as a Daughter or Son of God, into the kingdom of eternal light and bliss. —Elizabeth Joyce

September brings hurricanes, people moving to higher ground, the unexpected, disrupting news events, the passing of a world leader or Icon, quick flashing new events concerning 9/11, and detailed paperwork. Many changes with insurance forms and legal matters. Bank and IRS upsets! Problems with State funding as our schools try to open. An “I must protect myself” mindset.
The Sun has entered VIRGO
The Virgo horoscope symbol is the Maiden or Virgin. The Virgo sign symbol is usually depicted as a very simple graphic meant to resemble a Maiden carrying a shaft of wheat, in addition to the “M” glyph to represent intestines or virginity. Virgo birthdates fall from August 23 to September 22. Analytical, practical, critical, supportive and health conscious are the main Virgo traits, as it rules the 6th House of Work, Health, and Pets. Thus, the Virgo symbol of the Maiden expresses the service-oriented and innocent qualities of this zodiac sign. As an Earth Sign and an analytical mutable sign, Virgo is the purist of the zodiac, the sign that can be known for being overly-critical, but also highly organized and clean.
Virgo, symbolized by the Corn Maiden, accentuates the path of personal service and purity. It represents work and service to mankind of the highest order. Through dedication to physical fitness and holistic healing, your body can become a sacred temple for the spirit within, allowing it to emerge into your everyday life. Don’t expect miracles overnight, and most Virgo’s don’t, as they are quite practical. Be gentle with yourself as you eliminate those nasty habits of doubt, criticism and worry. Reawaken the wonder of learning and the satisfaction of simple joys, but turn away from the fanaticism that fosters a workaholic temperament or leads you into a hermit-like existence. Efficiency and industriousness are your twin assets, leading to complete success at this time, the harvest cycle of the year.
Virgos usually receive the Zodiac’s backlash. They are detailed, organized, methodical, chaste and very insecure. Very critical of themselves, they seem to expect the same from others, which can cause resentment and jealousy. However, they do make up for this with their charm, as they are of the most unassuming variety. Virgo’s approach is usually subtle, surprisingly tender, their standards are high, but they ultimately can accept differences and flaws once they get to know and trust you. With a Virgo, trust is never given, it has to be earned.

The medicine brought to us by Otter are the lessons of female energy. A timely animal for the Virgo/Libra month of September, 2020. This energy applies to both men and women, as all of us have the female, or gentle, intuitive side. The Otter’s hide was very often used to make medicine bags for powerful tribal women, because it represents balanced female energy
Otter is very caring for its young, and will play for hours, performing all types of acrobatics. It lives on land, but always builds its home near water. The elements of earth and water are the female elements. At home in both of these elements, Otter is the personification of femininity; long, sleek, and graceful, Otter is the true coquette or flirt of the animal world.
Otter is always on the move and very curious. Unlike other animals, Otter will not start a fight unless it is attacked first. This joyful little creature is adventuresome and assumes that all other creatures are friendly – until proven otherwise.
These character traits are the beauty of a balanced female side, the side of ourselves that creates a space for others to enter our lives without preconceptions or suspicions. Otter teaches us that balanced female energy is not jealous or catty. It is sisterhood, content to enjoy and share the good fortune of others. Anchored in the understanding that all accomplishments are worthwhile for the whole tribe, Otter people express joy for others.
Long ago, in tribal law, if a woman was widowed, her sister would offer her own husband to the widow as a lover, to keep her from drying up and not using her creative energies. This is Otter medicine too. Envy, or the fear of being replaced, has no space in Otter’s balanced understanding of sharing goodness.
Woman energy without games or control is a beautiful experience. It is the freeness of love without jealousy. It is the joy of loving other people’s children and their accomplishments as much as you love your own.
It may be time to examine your feelings about sharing the bounty of your life with others. Otter may be saying that the finer qualities of woman need to be striven for in both men and women so that a unity of spirit can be achieved. This would involve the destruction of jealousy and of all the acts of anger which stem from fear. It would mean keeping a Hawk-eye on your EGO and maintaining a total trust. It would mean a world full of people coming together to honor the right or each person to BE!
In September the feminine energies have brought Otter – which may be telling you to become the playful child and simply allow things to unfold in your life. It may be time to stop your addiction to worrying. Otter also teaches us the importance of not hanging onto material things which would bind you or become a burden. In looking how you can learn from Otter’s habits, you might look at joyousness of the receptive side of your nature. Have you given yourself a gift recently? Have you received any intuitive messages in your meditations? Become Otter and move gently into the river of life. Flow with the waters of the Universe…this is the way of balanced female-receptive energy. Honor it! In doing so, you will discover the magnificent power of woman.

RUNE of the Month – URUZ

STRENGTH
This is the Rune of termination and new beginnings, as fall begins in September, 2017. Strength indicates that this will be a time when you realize the life you have been living has been outgrown in its form, and so must die out to allow a new energy, bringing in a new birth, with a new form. Uruz is a Rune of passage and, as such, is a part of the cycle of Self-Transformation.
Positive growth and change, however, may involve passage into darkness as a part of the cycle of perpetual renewal. As in Nature, the progression consists of five parts: death, decay, gestation, germination, rebirth. Events occurring now may well prompt you to undergo a death within yourself. Since self-change is never coerced – as we are always free to resist – remain mindful that the new form, the new life, is always greater than the old.
Prepare then, for opportunity disguised as a loss. It could involve the loss of someone or something to which there is an intense emotional bond, and through which you are living a part of your life, a part that must now be retrieved so you can live it out for yourself. Now, in some way, that bond is being severed, a relationship radically changed, a death experienced. Seek among the ashes and discover a new perspective and a new birth.
The original meaning for this rune was the wild ox. When the wild ox was domesticated, a nearly impossible task, it could transport heavy loads. Learn to adapt yourself to the demands of such a creative time. Firm principles attach to this Rune, and at the same time humility is called for since in order to rule you must learn how to serve. Write down some important changes that need to be made, and make them your Fall and 2021 resolutions, then stick by them. For September 2020 will put you on notice that your Soul and the Universe will support the new growth.
WEEKLY WORLD-WIDE MEDITATION
This has always been the section for Healing Requests. Through the power of group prayers, healing take place spontaneously. You can be of help to many others, as well as your loved ones, with one minute of silence at 7:30 pm EST every Sunday evening anywhere in the world. With a prayer for the recovery of health, universal energy is sent out to any and all who send in their prayer request. In September it’s time to slow down a bit Aries. It’s time to assess where you’re headed accept this necessary recalibration. You need to conserve your energy so your body, mind, and heart can recharge. Before you begin to resent this rest the Universe has provided, the world begins to take on a new color for you with vibrant action. There is much to be experienced and enjoyed when you’re not going at 100 miles an hour!
Taurus (4/21-5/21)
In September you are ready to accept any opportunity that comes your way, and many of them will. You are confident and ready to take on anything. As you bounce around from thing to thing, you love being busy, busy. Your bonus for all of this is that your creativity is at its maximum. Finally, life looks like the way you want it to. When you’re truly in your element, life takes on a special glow, including the people with whom you cross paths. Your enthusiasm coupled with months of what you call inertia feels like someone took off you leash and turned you loose. Slow down and save some of that energy because you’re going to need it.
Gemini (5/21-6/20)
In September, the pace of life slows down again. You need to deal with some of the challenges that have cropped up, requiring you to stop, get quiet, and decide just how you want to move forward. In September, your optimism remains high and you’re going to need it. You don’t know whether to go full speed ahead or stop. This is not coming from you but from external forces. You need to detach from trauma and drama brought to you from others. What’s going on with people, both close to you and not close. Did they drink some kind of potion? They seem like some sort of crazy. They either seem lifeless or are constantly complaining about – well just about everything. You feel lighthearted and full of fun. It’s your chance to lead by example. Down the road they will thank you for kicking them out of their funk. You will be more aware of what the world is going through at month’s end.
Leo (7/23-8/22)
In September, your plans begin to take shape and you feel as if you’re in the flow as well. Nothing will disturb your balance because you’re at peace. Any obstacles you encounter are quickly overcome and the results are amazing; not only in outward physical terms but deep within as well. For the first time in years you know that you can prevail. Time to look at your financial investments. You have big decisions to make as to how you want to go forward. In September, it feels as if the Universe has opened up inside of you, and you’re on a spaceship headed for parts unknown. Best to keep a low profile, be good to yourself as well as kind to yourself. Even the strongest of us can find ourselves up against a wall, with the feeling that there’s just no place to go. When you find yourself there, and you will, take a time out. In fact, take a vacation. You deserve it!
Libra (9/23-10/22)
In September, take time out daily to do something to nurture yourself. Otherwise there’s a possibility that you could hit a huge wall as you try to make sense of all the weird energy that bouncing around your life. It’s only part of the purging process you’ve been going through this year and mixed messages everyone seems to be giving out. Everything or everyone is confused or confusing. With finances, one minute everything seems clear and the next the fog is rolling in. This gives you a feeling of frustration and uncertainty. This is not a time to take any risks. There’s too many changes and uncertainties to make any decisions. Stick to the tried and true.
Scorpio (10/ 23-11/22)
In September you are in overdrive, Scorpio, and exhausting yourself by running around in circles. At the center of this whirlwind, is the desire to get something done. Anything! You’re like a horse who’s been in the barn all winter. You want to break out and gallop. That is totally understandable after what this year has brought forth. However, choosing to be brash and pushy isn’t going to accomplish anything. Take all this pent up energy, find a focus for it, and be happy and satisfied with what you’ve accomplished at month’s end.
Sagittarius (11/23-12/21)
The constant refrain in you head has been, “get the job done, get the job done.” In September, this doesn’t seem to be a problem. No matter what is required, you are more that ready, willing, and able to do it. This involves a commitment that you’re not really aware that you made; to make you life work in ways that honors all that you are. Sure, you love your freedom Sag., but you know deep inside that’s not all you need to be content. There’s always a point where you shift your life contrary to what you’ve always believed, and may wonder if you’re being true to yourself. This comes from the thought that what was always important to you must always be so, and that in letting go, you will be losing a part of yourself, However, exactly the opposite is true. Hanging on to what is no longer valuable shuts off the opportunity to grow and expand.
Capricorn (12/22-1/19)
In September you may appear contentious and argumentative, but you just want to be heard. You want to be taken seriously for the changes you’re making. Not the kind that’s empty and without meaning, but that actually shows you that you are seen and appreciated to who you are, not what you do. This month marks a major change in how you view your place in the world. Your inner strength and knowledge of yourself has grown so much that you’re finally comfortable in your own skin. Don’t be surprised if you feel that you’re not on solid ground at work, even though everything is fine. That’s your fear talking. Remember, no matter what you do in life, you will always institute a review of all the decisions and actions that you took to change anything that wasn’t working. Acknowledge your panic, and then let it go.
Aquarius (1/20-2/18)
In September you want to get down to business and get all that stuff that’s piled up either dealt with or organized. Exciting new ideas and opportunities keep presenting themselves on a daily basis. Which are true for you and which are just your wishful thinking? Whatever, you’re in for a fun ride. What’s been changing for you this year is to see yourself and what you truly have to offer. This puts you forward throughout the month as you work on a new project and bring one of your dreams into fruition. You’re in the process of birthing yourself as a true leader.
Pisces (2/19-3/20)
As September opens, you may feel like a wet rag. You have really pushed yourself, both externally and internally. Not only have you transformed your life, your outlook, and your relationships, but you have done so without hesitation and will all the energy you could muster up. It’s time to take a break and slow it down. You are wondering if your efforts will be rewarded. Of course it will be. All the things you’ve done over the past months pushed you more than a little outside of your comfort zone. Now you have second thoughts, which will disappear as the month goes on and you receive the go ahead to take the next step to bring your plan into reality.
