The Sun has entered VIRGO
Virgo, symbolized by the Corn Maiden, accentuates the path of personal service and purity. It represents work and service to mankind of the highest order. Through dedication to physical fitness and holistic healing, your body can become a sacred temple for the spirit within, allowing it to emerge into your everyday life. Don’t expect miracles overnight, and most Virgo’s don’t as they are quite practical. Be gentle with yourself as you eliminate those nasty habits of doubt, criticism and worry. Reawaken the wonder of learning and the satisfaction of simple joys, but turn away from the fanaticism that fosters a workaholic temperment or leads you into a hermit-like existence. Efficiency and industriousness are your twin assets, leading to complete success at this time, the harvest cycle of the year.
Virgos usually receive the Zodiac’s backlash. They are detailed, organized, methodical, chaste and very insecure. Very critical of themselves, they seem to expect the same from others, which can cause resentment and jealousy. However, they do make up for this with their charm, as they are of the most unassuming variety. Virgo’s approach is usually subtle, surprisingly tender, their standards are high, but they ultimately can accept differences and flaws once they get to know and trust you. With a Virgo, trust is never given, it has to be earned.

ANIMAL: SKUNK — Reputation
SKUNK Tell me the story So I will know it well, Of how to attract, And how to repel.
Skunk medicine! Go ahead and laugh. This fury little animal has a reputation that contains a great deal of power. Due to its distinctive behavior, humans give this tiny, smelly creature a wide berth. The keyword here is respect.
Unlike other predatory animals, Skunk does not threaten your life but threatens your senses. You know this to be true if you have ever been in the vicinity of its spray. In observing the habit patterns of skunk, it is easy to notice the playfulness and nonchalance of its natural behavior. The “I dare you” attitude of this four-legged creature commands you, as the observer, to respect its space and mere reputation alone.
Skunk is teaching you that by walking your walk and talking your talk, with respect for yourself, you will create a position of strength and honored reputation. The carriage of your body relates to others of what you think about yourself. There is no need to bully, aggravate, torment, or overpower other people or things when your sense of “self” is intact. As with Skunk, the resonate field of energy around your body is relayed through the senses. Self-esteem permeates the body’s energy, and is instantly recognized on an extrasensory level by others.
Learn to assert, without ego, who you are. Respect will follow. Your self-respect attitude will repel those who are not of like mind, and yet attract those who choose the same pathway. As the odor of the skunk attracts others of its kind, it repels anyone who will not respect its space.
Skunk medicine people have the ability to attract others, and they are very charismatic. At the same time, the other side of their natural power is to repel those who seek to take energy from them without recycling the gifts they have taken.
Skunk medicine people also know how to use the energy flow to attract a lover. Some people call this sexual magic, as it is akin to the musk scent that animals excrete to attract a mate. It can be dangerous to leak sexual energy if you are not looking for a mate. It puts you into a games position that may feed your ego but not reflect how others feel about you. If you are attracting others who have an interest in you, then you are in fact saying, “I am available.” This will only cause hard feelings when the “truth” comes out. It also leaks energy that you could have used in a more constructive way.
When using Skunk medicine, it is best to learn how to handle energy flows. Modern psychologists call this “body language.” In tribal teachings, this is your personal medicine which you are revealing to others. Use your medicine well, and know that you are known by your reputation. How you use your energy will attract either honor or disgrace. You may want to examine what energy you are putting out that has created your present situation.
In September, 2014, you are being asked to notice the kinds of people who are attracted to you. If they emulate favorable characteristics, have enough self-esteem to recognize those characteristics within yourself. Walk tall and be proud of the accomplishments you have made. Bear in mind that what you believe about yourself is your ultimate protection. Project your self-respect!

RUNE OF THE MONTH
GEBO Partnership
Gebo is the Rune showing that a union or uniting or partnership of some form is at hand. You are, however, put on notice not to collapse yourself into that union. For true partnership can only be achieved by separate and whole beings who retain their separateness even in unity and uniting. Always remember to let the winds of heaven dance between you.
At all levels, in love relationships, business matters, in partnering of any kind, this counsel applies particularly when you are entering into a partnership with your Blessed Higher Self. Establishing an open, flowing channel between the Self and the Higher Self is the ultimate form of human partnership. For out of it comes a union with the Divine. God always enters into equal partnerships.
Thus Gebo, the Rune of Partnership, has no reverse for it signifies the gift of freedom from which flows all other gifts.
This has always been the section for Healing Requests. Through the power of group prayers, healing take place spontaneously. You can be of help to many others, as well as your loved ones, with one minute of silence at 7:30 pm EST every Sunday evening anywhere in the world. Relationships take up a lot of your time now, Aries, and should be quite pleasant. However, you may have a power struggle with a higher up in early September. Remain calm, be reasonable yet totally firm. That is the only way the issue can be worked out in a positive manner. By month’s end you could be making plans to take a romance to the next level; engagement or marriage.
Taurus (4/21-5/21)
September brings a time to deal with children and your creativity. If your work isn’t in sync with your ideas, do some on-line research. You may find something better. At the Fall Equinox, make some time to be alone with your sweetheart. That means no phones and no kids.
Gemini (5/21-6/20)
As September opens, you’ll want to make time to balance some family issues, and will be very willing to compromise. If single, at the Fall Equinox, pay attention to someone special who is a great communicator and listener. You may feel pulled between home and work at month’s end. Try to stay balanced.
Cancer (6/21-7/22)
Politics and education tip your list as September opens, Cancer, especially if they involve elders, kids, or animals. The good news is there won’t be a lot of drama this month. If disputes arise, you will be able to manage them practically and efficiently.
Leo (7/23-8/22)
September brings short trips, conversations, and daily encounters. You’re already the Star of the show with Jupiter in Leo, now you can let everyone know who and what you are. Let that Lion’s mane down! Love and money become center stage when your partner asks you what’s more important, family or work! You already know what you want to do here, Leo, and you’ve known for some time. Hang tough!
Virgo (8/23-9/22)
You’re quite good at fixing things, Virgo, and your September test is to make people better off then when they are when you find them. That’s okay as long as they cooperate and are willing to be guided and helped. However, around the Fall Equinox you may find those to whom you are donating your skills, might not be willing to be helped. Romance lights up at month’s end.
Libra (9/23-10/22)
September brings the urge to make some changes in your looks and personal presentation. Diets, quitting bad habits while starting good ones are favored. Mid month you may find a solid, reliable partner and find you are just as important to them as they are to you. At the Fall Equinox you may be asked to mediate a family battle. ”
Scorpio (10/ 23-11/22)
September brings an important decision making time. Take a few days off somewhere to think over a brand new course of action. If you’ve had doubts about a friend, boss, or lover’s honesty and fidelity, an honest heart-to-heart talk could clear the air. If a group financial venture is offered to you now, you owe it to yourself to investigate.
Sagittarius (11/23-12/21)
September brings a full social calendar, and if you can’t keep up with offers and invitations, it may be time to set priorities. If your partner seems a bit too picky about how you dress or eat, or your health habits, don’t throw up your hands and write it off. Listen up! Anyone who truly loves you has your best interest at heart, and there may be some truth to their statements.
Capricorn (12/22-1/19)
It will be fairly easy to get your way this month Cap. You’ve been impossible to refuse for quite awhile now, but in September you’ll be oozing with persuasion. Be sure to stay in integrity. With money and business deals, this is your month Capricorn, so get ready, make sure your business cards have no typos, and use your breath freshener.
Aquarius (1/20-2/18)
September brings a love for your personal freedom and an insatiable appetite for new information. It’s safe to expect lots of good times and interesting conversations. More than one admirer is trying to become the star of your show. At the first sign a lover becomes even remotely possessive, you turn in the other direction. Around the 25th, however, you may meet someone just as freewheeling as yourself.
Pisces (2/19-3/20)
September is a time to take all you have leaned over the past two years and use it to combine business with pleasure. Without even trying you’ll attract admirers, one who may make you feel more special than you have in years. Commitments to former partners and long-term acquaintances may be called into question. Take off your rose-colored glasses and work things out with them. If an emergency arises, you’ll be better qualified than most to deal with it.
