Stargazing — Week of Oct. 5th through Oct. 11, 2020

Oct 5, 2020 | Monthly Astrology|Stargazing

Mars in Aries continues to be retrograde all month (from Sept. 9th -Nov 13th). It’s time to get ready for your 2021 battle plan. With changing priorities due to the virus, and not necessarily knowing what is coming next, it is important to make space for whatever is coming. Venus passing through cleansing Virgo October 2nd -27th  helps you clear clutter and get organized. Mercury is turning retrograde in Scorpio on October 13th , then moving backwards into Libra on October 27th  until he ends his retrograde cycle on November 3rd , Election Day (not a good indicator for any error-free election). The New Moon in Libra on the 16th makes a challenging square to Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn. This just adds to the problems we have seen all year with virus, riots and global warming issues. But cheer up because there is an exciting Blue Moon Full Moon in Taurus on Halloween.

Pluto ends his retrograde cycle that’s been going on since April on Sunday, so all three planets in the rare and challenging Capricorn alignment start to lighten up and pick up the positive energetic pace, keeping in mind that Mars is still retrograde and Mercury turns retrograde October 13th.

Currently, talkative Mercury is moving to oppose Uranus on Wednesday the 7th. This could bring some surprising and unexpected news and/or increase your anxiety levels and nervous tension. Get ready to deal with the unexpected and slightly wacko energies of this opposition because these planets will cash again in the next five weeks. This can bring forth brilliant and innovative ideas, or scattered, way out there thinking. The trick is to know the difference. As always, but especially true this week, don’t believe everything you hear the politicians say including conspiracy promoters.

Go easy Thursday night into Friday morning as aggressive Mars moving retrograde makes a challenging square to death and rebirth Pluto. It is best not to force anything under this combination.

Confrontation and power struggles are on the table Friday when Mars and Pluto square off for the second time this year.  Mars has tremendous drive, ambition, and endless energy reserves, and whenever it goes against Pluto’s desires for absolute power in ignites a huge firestorm. Be on the safe side and avoid all dangerous and negative areas or conditions. Friday evening is softer as the Moon moves into Cancer supporting being around loved ones and comfort food.

On Saturday, the moon is void-of-course, suggesting it is not a good day for important purchases or initiating important actions. Venus does make a harmonious trine to Uranus in the afternoon, which offers excitement with your finances and love. Buy that lottery ticket! This is great energy for quick meetings with friends. Under this influence an amazing deal could materialize out of nowhere, or it could just be a day for you to enjoy your own craziness

Ease into Sunday morning as your big ideas and energy level do not match well. The Sun-Jupiter square on Sunday the 11th is a repeat of the same energy from last April, with a second warning not to bite off more than you can chew.  Do not over-extend yourself. Watch your dreams Sunday evening into Monday morning as dream planet Neptune is active. Perhaps you will have travel dreams since the adventure planet Jupiter is positively aspecting Neptune.
