Stargazing—Week of Nov. 25th through Dec. 1st, 2019

Nov 25, 2019 | Monthly Astrology|Stargazing

This is an active week, as well as Thanksgiving for the USA. The New Moon brings new beginnings and projects move forward. Venus moves into Capricorn, Neptune wakes up and turns direct, bringing us insightful and thoughtful words.

On Monday in the late afternoon, Venus enters practical Capricorn until just before winter solstice. This is a better business combination than a personal one. This energy casts a darker and more stern light on matters that relate to love, money, housing, art, and beauty. This sign switch into serious Capricorn means that for the next month or so you’re going to have to be super responsible and put some focused time and energy into getting what you want. You can work on your ambition and the core structure of your life in order to manifest your values, needs and desires-but you need to be willing to work and be practical.

The darkness and quiet of the Sagittarius New Moon on Tuesday, November 26th reminds us again to look at the bright side of life and share our abundance with those less fortunate. Plant some seeds for a new start by expanding your horizons through the arts, foreign travel, classes and developing new philosophies.  A sacred Sabian symbol to meditate on for the coming months is An old owl sits alone on the branch of a large tree.  One suggested meaning is that it is time to pull back from the busy world and get a higher, spiritual perspective on what is going on in your life and the outer world. The energy of owl wisdom does not get sucked into the emotionally reactive drama of the transitory world as it takes a higher view.

Sagittarius speaks of philosophical truth and does not worry about seeking approval. On another level, Sagittarius likes to have fun and is ready for a holiday party. An interesting, but somewhat abstract, event is Jupiter aligning with the Galactic Center of the Milky Way. This happens only once every twelve years. Perhaps it is time to align yourself with higher galactic principles of life to help you be in harmony with higher purpose in the coming year.

On Wednesday morning, Neptune ends his retrograde cycle since last summer’s solstice. You may not notice this shift, but it would not be a surprise to hit the snooze button on your alarm clock because it’s still dreamtime. Do journal your dreams on the 27th. It also a call to work on the many insights and visions that were revealed to you while Neptune was moving backwards.

On Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, Mercury trines sensitive Neptune. It promises to be a very active, talkative day. This energy inspires eloquence and can make you overly sensitive to the opinions of others.

Have breakfast with a friend Thursday morning and rebel against your normal routines. The Moon moves into Aquarius on Saturday afternoon, suggesting you do something out of the ordinary and/or meet new friends, groups or organizations.

Jupiter exits his favorite sign of Sagittarius on the 2nd and enters less comfortable Capricorn for the coming year.  Capricorn is ruled by Saturn and is a Cardinal Sign. It represents corporations, government, finances, obstacles,New Moon in Sagittarius and hard work. We are also moving into eclipse energy with a solar eclipse in Capricorn coming on December 25th, and a lunar eclipse coming in January.
