AFFIRMATION

MEDITATION

Now withdraw into the rose center of your heart. Meditate on the perfect silver-violet rose.  The rose of twelve petals lies at the temple of your heart. It’s petals are opening to the sun – every petal gleaming and glowing with the light. There is an ineffable light in the heart of the rose.

Become enfolded within these petals, in a soft pearly light.  You are within the temple of the rose, the Sun pours down into the heart… opening up the doorway to  all empowering, unconditional Love.  You are a part of this radiance and one with all of humanity, within the heart of the ROSE.

Think of Amma, and meditate on this violet rose, the flower of God. You are looking at this rose from afar, as something outside of you. But it is within your heart, as is Amma, always!  The petals of this divine rose are slowly opening as you chant your mantras to Amma, opening to receive the golden warmth of sunshine and power from above. There is a light within the heart as well music coming to you from the rose. The light from above and the light from the rose blend as one…as you swoon into the bliss of Divine Love

When the power of love replaces the love of power,
then we can begin our journey of awakening.

SCORPIO energies bring a renewed interest in sharing. You become more public oriented and are searching for love as well as career recognition. Be determined that early month trauma, fears, pessimism, repression and doubts can be eliminated from your life as you promote a penetrating insightfulness, willpower and the skill to solve mysterious riddles. This is the height of the season. Autumn has truly arrived. Enjoy entertaining and socializing with friends and colleagues. Above all, cultivate the skill of open, empathetic communication in place of subtle deception. Scorpio is an intense sign, and is not in a realm of easy answers, but it always holds the gold key to spiritual transcendence.

(This information goes for SCORPIO Sun Sign – Moon Sign
as well as the Rising Sign.)

Based on the Rune (Growth) and Animal (Horse) chosen as the vibration – November brings the results of the  elections in the United States and more than likely a new Republican Congress, while the Senate remains Democratic. More jobs will suddenly become available. Expect a stock market crash about two weeks after the election. China makes some changes and does not buy back our dollar, causing the value to drop about 20%. This “down time” with continue through early 2011. (The Dow falling to about 8,500.)

ANIMAL: THE HORSE

The HORSE

Mighty Horse

With power to run

Across the open plains,

Or to bring the vision,

Of the shields

Dancing in the purple rain.

“Stealing horses is stealing power,” was a statement made frequently in historic native America and a reference to the esteemed role in which the horse played in the native cultures.

The horse represents physical power as well as unearthly power. In Shamanic practices throughout the world, Horse enables the Shaman to fly through the air and reach heaven.

Humanity made a great leap forward when Horse was domesticated. a discovery akin to fire. before Horse, humans were earthbound, heavy-laden , and slow creatures indeed. Once humans climbed on Horse’s back, they were as fast and free as the wind.  They could carry burdens for great distances with ease.  Through their special relationship with Horse, humans altered their self-concept beyond measure. Horse was the first animal medicine of civilization. Humanity owes an incalculable debt to Horse and to the new medicine it brought. It would be a long walk to see one’s brother or sister if Horse had not welcomed the two-legged rider upon his back.

Today we measure the capacity of engines with the term “horsepower,” a reminder of the days when Horse was an honored and highly -prized partner with humanity.

Dreamwalker, a medicine man, was walking across the plains to visit the Arapho Nation. He carried with him his pipe. The feather in his long, black hair pointed to the ground, making him a man of peace. Over the rise of a hill, Dreamwalker saw herd of wild mustangs running toward him

Black Stallion approached him and asked him if he was seeking an answer to his journey. Black Stallion said, “I am from the Void where your Answer lives. Ride on my back and know the power of entering the Darkness and finding the Light.”  Dreamwalker  thanked Black Stallion, and agreed to visit him when his medicine was needed in the Dreamtime.

Yellow Stallion approached Dreamwalker next and offered to take him to the East where Illumination lives. Dreamwalker could share the answers he found there to teach and illuminate others. Once again, Dreamalker thanked Yellow Stallion and said that he would use these gifts of power on his journey.

Red Stallion approached, rearing playfully. He told Dreamwalker of the joys of the balancing work and heavy medicine with the joyful experience of play. He reminded Dreamwalker that he could better hold the attention of those he taught when humor was integrated into the lesson. Dreamwalker thanked him and promised to remember the gift of joy.

Dreamwalker was nearing his destination. The Arapaho Nation was close at hand. White Stallion came to the front of the herd. Dreamwalker mounted White Stallion’s back. White Stallion was the message carrier for all the other horses, and represented wisdom in power. This magnificent horse was the embodiment of the balanced medicine shield. “No abuse of power will ever lead to wisdom,” White Stallion said. “You, Dreamwalker, have made this journey to heal a brother in need, to share the sacred pipe, and to heal Mother Earth. You have the knowledge through humility that you are an instrument of Great Spirit. As I carry you on my back, you carry the needs of other people on yours. In wisdom, you understand that power is not given lightly but awarded to those who are willing to carry the responsibility in a balanced manner.

Dreamwalker, the Shaman, had been healed by this visit of wild horses, and knew his purpose of coming to the Arapaho was to share this gift with them.

In understanding the power of the Horse, you may see how to strive for a balanced medicine shield. True power is wisdom found in remembering your total journey. Wisdom comes from remembering pathways  you have walked in another person’s moccasins. Compassion, caring, searching, loving and sharing your gifts, talents , and abilities are the gateways to power.

RUNE of the Month

Growth – Rebirth – A Birch Tree

Berkana is the Rune of the Life Process. It denotes fertility that promotes growth both symbolically and actually. This growth may occur in affairs of the world, family matters, or the relationship with one’s self and the Divine. This is a “leading to” Rune in that it is the seed planted that leads to blossoming and ripening.

What is called for here is going into things deeply, with care and awareness. This Rune is concerned with the power of influencing development and with the flow of beings which brings them into their new forms. Its action is gentle, penetrating and pervasive.

First disperse your resistance, then accomplish the work. For this to happen, your Will must be clear and controlled. In regard to the issue, your motives must be correct. Any “dark corners” should be cleansed; this must be carried out diligently and sometimes with expert or professional help. Modesty, patience, fairness, and generosity are called for here. Do you possess these virtues?

Once resistance is dispersed and rectification carried out and seen to hold firm, then through steadfastness and the right attitude, the blossoming can occur. At times events or, more likely, aspects of character, may interfere with the growth of a new life and life process. You may feel dismay at failing to take the right action. But, rather than discouragement, what is called for in November 2010 is diligence. Examine what has taken place over the past six months, your role in it, your needs and the needs of others. Are you placing your wants before the needs of others? Strip down, as you meditate, until you can identify the blocks to growth in the current situation. Then, penetrating gently, imitate the wind.

You may be required to fertilize the ground again; to re-do something, or re-think something, but with the correct preparation, growth is assured.

Don’t be afraid to make the leap or take the chance.

The New Moon in SCORPIO on November 6th brings a new Congress. There is a shift on our planet bringing us the awareness that there are no geographical boundaries. Remember to turn your clocks back one hour on Saturday night as we return to Standard time. Paths of love will run more smoothly after this New Moon.

The Full Moon in TAURUS on November 21st brings a good time to be with people. Sports and travel are on the agenda. Because Scorpio and Taurus are both charismatic, proud, and stubborn, this Full Moon can either be a very positive or negative experience. Also, it is not best to schedule any elective surgeries at this time.

Children, recreation, sports, romance, and creativity fill up your life now and through the Holidays. Snap up any and all invitations because you never know where you’re likely to meet that someone special.

A good position or new job could manifest at the end of January, 2011. Until then things remain status quo at work. You could meet someone at work who could bring you luck. Act quickly because there is a limited window with these energies. You may need to begin a new wellness program, so why not join a walking group at lunch? You are coming into a once in every twelve years transit favoring love, romance, commitment, and establishing a serious dating relationship.

This transit also strengthens ties for couples, because you’ll enjoy each others company more than ever. Caution for singles, however. If you meet someone who sweeps you off your feet, it may not be the real thing, so please give it a lot of time. It’s always easy to see the positives and ignore the negatives. This goes for business partnerships as well.

This winter is a time for preparation as well as a time to look within. review and assess you accomplishments and challenges over the past seven years and be honest with yourself. What did you learn? What could you have done better? The answers to these questions will be helpful to you when you begin a new phase in 2012 when Saturn enters your sign. Journaling is a good tool and a sibling or another relative could be instrumental in the process.

If you are a parent, try to step back and view your children more objectively. You might discover they have matured, whatever their age, and no longer require the same level of parenting. If you’re the parent of a young adult, your parental role may change as your child establishes a new life and you become an empty-nester.

Domestic life will range from peaceful and calm to stressful and confusing. Life is unpredictable in the sense that it’s tough to get a grasp on what’s really going on. This can affect family communication, with truths and untruths, and it can be difficult to fully understand another viewpoint. A family member, possible an elder, may require your assistance as a caregiver.

Finally, you should also explore and develop your skills and talents. Find a new hobby that fosters your self-expression, while reducing every-day stress. Listen to your inner voice and strengthen it by learning to trust your hunches and feelings.

THE PERSONAL SIGNS:

 Aries (3/21 – 4/20)

Thanksgiving travel isn’t such a good idea this year. Challenging aspects could trigger a delay, cancellation of plans, lost luggage or all three. Even so, time spent with relatives over the Holidays with friends and relatives could be less than enjoyable, in spite of your enthusiasm. Consider, instead, inviting a few people over to your place.

 Taurus (4/21-5/21)

The Full Moon on November 21st put you in the hotspot, Taurus. You’re ready to stride towards achievement of your goals and desires. The challenge is you may find it tough to decide what you want, especially in your career and the outer world. Meditate first – then take action.

 Gemini (5/21-6/20)

Life returns to normal in November, at least for the most part. Make note of your dreams, which can be very insightful. November has the potential to make you a shining star at work.

 Cancer (6/21-7/22)

Life returns to your normal hectic pace with only some minor challenges. Expect some personality conflicts at work as well as complications with travel plans over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. To prevent loss, be careful shopping, socializing, or when on the road.

 Leo (7/23-8/22)

Life settles down with some small hurdles here and there. Money begins to flow your way again when Jupiter turns direct in Pisces. Do not spend more that you should on family, friends, and fun. Scale back and live within your budget. Home is at your best over the Thanksgiving weekend, so invite your friends over for dinner.

 Virgo (8/23-9/22)

The month is easygoing except with family communication and relationships. Clean out closets, do minor repairs, and spruce up a room or two. Opt for an alternative over the Thanksgiving weekend and take a day trip to see the foliage.

 Libra (9/23-10/22)

November is an easy month with only minor exceptions. You’ll want to take precautions to safeguard valuables early on. Do the same with your financial information. Be very careful on the road over the Thanksgiving weekend.

 Scorpio (10/ 23-11/22)

Life moves along during November and your only challenge is the feeling that you’re off pace and out-of-sync with the world and even your life. Meditate and delve into your subconscious. Images will emerge at odd moments, and you could feel inspired

 Sagittarius (11/23-12/21)

You’re unusually accident prone in November, Sag. This calls for caution on the roads, in the kitchen, working with tools, and going about your daily activities. Haste is the problem so slow down and curb your impatience. Do the same with others, and soften your words.

 Capricorn (12/22-1/19)

Life continues smoothly but you need to be sure to get plenty of rest and sleep. Otherwise a cold or flu could put a damper on your Thanksgiving plans. You have a way with words now, and gain positive attention. Plan ahead and closely keep track of your schedule so you can keep up.

 Aquarius (1/20-2/18)

You can expect some minor challenges with your career and friends. Although it will be difficult to avoid a clash at work mid-month, you can resolve it by keeping your goals in sight. The same applies if a friend disappoints you. Try not to get upset but see it as an excellent lesson in human nature that can serve you in the future. Enjoy Thanksgiving with friends and family and host an open house over that weekend.

 Pisces (2/19-3/20)

Money may not flow again until after November 18th. Hold off on major purchases, shopping for clothing, and purchasing major gifts until then. This is an excellent time to develop a Holiday budget and to window-shop on line. Travel over the Thanksgiving weekend may refresh your spirit.
