The Sun has entered SCORPIO
SCORPIO energies bring a renewed interest in sharing. You become more public oriented and are searching for love as well as career recognition. Be determined that early month trauma, fears, pessimism, repression and doubts can be eiminated from your life as you promote a penetrating insightfulness, willpower and the skill to solve mysterious riddles. This is the height of the season. Autumn has truly arrived. Enjoy entertaining and socializing with friends and colleagues. Above all, cultivate the skill of open, empathetic communication in place of subtle deception. Scorpio is an intense sign, and is not in a realm of easy answers, but it always holds the gold key to spiritual transcendence.
Your focus will be on a number of issues this month because a lot is happening in the heavens as well as on the planet Earth. The first being a change of time, as we go back to standard time on the first. The second being the USA Presidential Election on the third. This election promises not to be determined for quite some time. More than likely not until after the December 16th eclipse.
As for the outcome? It’s complicated. How can we count more votes than we have people in this country? Anger levels, hateful accusations, turmoil, and danger will be all a part of the mix. There promises to be no peace right up to the Christmas Holiday, if then. Communication and travel may be very turbulent as well. During this time, be cautious, stay alert, and be very careful of whatever you put in writing – including your tweets!

OPENING — renewed clarity – receive higher knowledge
This is the Rune of opening up, of renewed clarity, of dispelling darkness that has been shrouding some part of your life. You are free now to receive, and to know the joy of non-attached giving.
Kano is the Rune of the morning of activities, of seriousness, clarity and concentration, all of which are essential at the beginning of work. The protection offered by this Rune is that the more light you have, the more you practice your spiritual meditations, the better you can see what is trivial and outmoded in your personal life, stemming from your childhood pre-conditioning.
In relationships, there can be a mutual opening up. You may serve as the trigger, the timekeeper, through your awareness, that the light of understanding is once again available to you both.
Recognize that, while on the one hand you are limited and dependent, on the other you exist at the perfect center where the harmonious and beneficent forces of the universe merge and radiate. You are that center. Simply put, if you have been operating in the dark, there is now enough light to see that the patient on the operating table is yourself!
In this time of the Scorpio energies 2020 – one can expect a darkening of the light in some situation or relationship. A friendship may be dying, a partnership or marriage, some aspect of yourself or your work, an old way of being needs to be let go of, because it is no longer proper or valid for you. You are being asked to recognize that failure for you to face up to this death consciously would constitute a loss of opportunity. Kano is one of the Cycle Runes, and it can point to an inner death of a way of living, because it has been now invalidated through your personal spiritual growth.
So be prepared and willing to give up gladly the old, and to live for a while feeling empty. Spirit cannot enter a vessel that is full and running over. Wait! Have patience! Develop your inner stability, not allowing yourself to be seduced by the momentum of old ways, but instead, wait for the new. Know in your heart at all times that the NEW will become illuminated in its proper time.
Don’t be afraid to make the leap or take the chance.

Seeped into the mystery of most American tribunal rituals is the legend of the Bat. Akin to the ancient Buddhist belief in reincarnation, in Central America, Bat is the symbol of rebirth. The Bat has for centuries been a treasured medicine of Aztec, Toltec, Toulcan, and Mayan peoples.
Bat embraces the idea of shamanistic death. The ritual death of the sacred healer is seeped in secrets and highly evolved initiation rites. Shaman death is the symbolic death of the initiate to the old ways of personal identity. The initiation that brings the right to heal and be called shaman is necessarily preceeded by ritual death. Most of the rituals are brutally hard on the body, mind, and spirit. In light of today’s standards, it can be very difficult to find a person who can take the abuse and come through it with their balance intact.
The basic idea of ancient initiations was to beak down all former notions of “self” that were held by the shaman-to-be. This could entail brutal tests of physical strength and psychic ability, and having every emotional “button” pushed hard. Taunting and spitting on the initiate was common, and taught him or her to endure the duress with humility and fortitude. The final initiation step was to be buried in the earth for one day and to be reborn without former ego in the morning.
This ritual is very similar to the night of fear practiced by natives of Turtle Island, and to the Egyptian initiation practiced in the Great Pyramid at Giza. (Read Initiation by Elizabeth Haisch)
As the darkness of the grave has its place in these rituals, so does the cave of the Bat. Hanging upside-down is a symbol for sacrifice, and learning to transform your former self into a newborn being. This is also the position babies assume when they enter the world through the womb of a woman.

Taurus (4/21-5/21)
It’s not quite smooth sailing as you emerge from the lessons of 2020. It’s much easier to implement the new ideas and new reality to which you are completely committed. You’ll hardly feel the bump in the road that comes with the eclipse at month’s end. Time to assess your financial status. Give yourself the time and space to do this. Can you maintain your status? Armed with new appreciation for you and your work, you’re ready to tackle anything and move wholeheartedly and confidently into the future. 2020 brought you the awareness that you’re made of pretty strong stuff. Thing feel a bit muddy, murky, and yucky as November opens. It goes away as the fog lifts once you take matters into your own hands. You set about rectifying any sort of confusion that occurred in October. Why can’t things be as nice as they appear to be? Be polite but firm to get the answers you want. Also, be ready for the burst of energy that arrives powerfully and swiftly mid-month. You can take some giant steps to manifest a long-term goal you set for yourself earlier in the year; a good reason to enjoy Thanksgiving, after a most difficult year.

In November you are focused on the plans you made earlier in the year. The only thing you need before you hit the launch button is to review and get comfortable with the steps and financial planning you have outlined. You don’t want to miss a trick! There’s nothing worse than to be all dressed up with no place to go. That’s where you are, Scorpio. As you sit and wait for the tide to turn, mid-month. So you can finally run free, and perhaps just a little bit wild. Just know that all the steps you took in 2020 to put this in place are now there, and it’s “go” time. It’s going to take some sharp awareness not to get caught up in the traumas around you. Just know that you have the stamina, skills, and awareness and energy to handle all situations that are knocking everyone else off balance.
Sagittarius (11/23-12/21)
This may not be the best time of year for you because you are still filled with some difficult and painful stuff buried inside of you. You have spent 2020 shining your light into the darkness around you and transforming it. Do you still need to keep looking? Apparently yes. You know that bringing out these “ghosts” will liberate you. There is much to think about and many days when you are unable to focus. Take note of the things that make your mind go blank. It’s a sign that you have no desire to continue or connection to the invitation or project being proposed to you. Weed through them so that when the light turns green mid-month, you are clutter free and ready to give your all to your desires and what you value.
Capricorn (12/22-1/19)
As November opens, your long-term hopes and wishes are on a collision course with immediate demands and complications that you didn’t see coming, Cap. Take a moment to realize that “stuff happens”, and in this case it’s because of someone else dropping the ball. Don’t stop to rescue anyone, but just carry on. As you expand your social network, you are shocked to realize that some of your tried-and-true friendships don’t uplift you anymore. The latter part of the month promises to bring a major step into your future, and you never saw it coming.
