The Sun has entered SCORPIO
SCORPIO energies bring a renewed interest in sharing. You become more public oriented and are searching for love as well as career recognition. Be determined that early month trauma, fears, pessimism, repression and doubts can be eliminated from your life as you promote a penetrating insightfulness, willpower and the skill to solve mysterious riddles. This is the height of the season. Autumn has truly arrived. Enjoy entertaining and socializing with friends and colleagues. Above all, cultivate the skill of open, empathetic communication in place of subtle deception. Scorpio is an intense sign, and is not in a realm of easy answers, but it always holds the gold key to spiritual transcendence.
Based on the Rune (Signals) and Animal (Deer), November 2014 brings a time of forgiveness and new beginnings. Just before Saturn changes signs, and moves into Sagittarius, we reunite with loved ones who may have gone astray – or with whom we had some great misunderstandings, with the sole purpose to release, let go, and reunite on clear, new energies. The month of Thanksgiving becomes more important tan in times past. Expect phone calls from out of the blue, as well as family gathering becoming joyous and loving. So drop your preconceived negativity, resentments, anger and fear, and come join the party!

ANIMAL: DEER — Gentleness
DEER — so gentle and loving you are.
The flower of kindness embraced from afar.
One day Fawn heard Great Spirit calling to her from the top of Sacred Mountain. Fawn immediately started up the trail. She did not know that a horrible demon guarded the way to the Great Spirit lodge. The demon was trying to keep all beings of creation from connecting with Great Spirit. He want all of the Great Spirit creatures to feel that Great Spirit did not want to be disturbed. This would make the demon feel powerful, and capable of causing them to fear him.
Fawn was not al all frightened when she came upon the demon. This was curious, as the demon was the archetype of all the ugly monsters that have ever been. The demon breathed fire and smoke and made disgusting sounds to frighten Fawn. Any normal creature would have fled or died on the spot from fright.
Fawn, however, said gently to the demon, “Please let me pass, I am on my way to see Great Spirit.”
Fawn’s eyes were filled with love and compassion for this oversized bully of a demon. The demon was astounded by Fawn’s lack of fear. No matter how he tried, he could not frighten Fawn, because her love had penetrated his hardened, ugly heart.
Much to the demon’s dismay, his rock-hard heart began to melt, and his body sank to the size of a walnut. Fawn’s persistent love and gentleness had caused the meltdown of the demon. Due to this gentleness and caring that Fawn embodies, the pathway is now clear for all of Great Spirit’s children to reach Sacred Mountain without having to feel the demons of fear blocking their way.
Deer teaches us to use the power of gentleness to touch the hearts and minds of wounded beings who are trying to keep us from Sacred Mountain. Like the dappling of Fawn’s coat, both the light and the dark may be loved to create gentleness and safety for those who are seeking peace.
If Deer has gently nudged its way into the vibrations for the month of November 2014, you are being asked to find the gentleness of Spirit that heals all wounds. Stop pushing so hard to get others to change, and love them as they are. Apply gentleness to your present situation and become like the summer breeze, warm and caring. This is your tool for solving the present dilemma you are facing. If you use it, you will connect with Sacred Mountain, your centering place of serenity, and Great Spirit will guide you.

RUNE OF THE MONTH
ANSUZ — Signals
ANSUZ is the first of the twelve Runes that make up the Cycle of Self-Transformation. These Runes focus directly upon the mechanism of self-change. The keynote in November of 2014 is receiving: messages, signals, gifts. Even a timely warning may be seen as a gift. When the Messenger Rune brings us sacred knowledge, one is truly blessed.
The message may be that of a new life unfolding. New lives begin with new connections, surprising linkages that direct us to new pathways. Take pains to be especially aware and conscious during meetings, visits, chance encounters, particularly with persons wiser than yourself. A sense of new family solidarity invests Ansuz.
Through association with the Norse god Loki, Mercury overshadows this Rune. In mythology a strange, androgynous figure, keeper of the keys of knowledge, Mercury carried messages between the gods and between gods and humanity. In him is symbolized the urge to integrate unconscious motive with conscious recognition. This Rune is the focus for November 2014, telling us that the connection with the Divine is at hand.
Signals – the Ansuz Rune – brings a sign to explore the depths, the foundations of life, and to experience the inexhaustible wellspring of the Divine in your nature. You are reminded that you must draw first from the well to nourish and give to yourself. Then there will be more than enough to nourish others.
You may well be concerned over what appears to be failed communication, lack of clarity or awareness, either in your past history or in a present situation. Equally, you may feel concern because of difficulties that inhibit you from accepting what is being offered. Then again a sense of futility, of wasted motion, of a fruitless journey may dismay you. Remember, however, that this is one of the Cycle (karma) Runes. What happens in your life this November is timely in your life process. If the well is clogged, this is the month to clear out the waste. Make your decisions and go forward without fear. Trust the Universe to put you in the right direction. Everything will settle by year’s end.
This has always been the section for Healing Requests. Through the power of group prayers, healing take place spontaneously. November asks you to take a long look at your lifestyle, personality, and appearance. How are your habits influencing your health? Think of everyone in your life right now, and decide who should stay and who should be gradually pushed out. You may be asked for a loan, think it over, and don’t be embarrassed to say no.
Gemini (5/21-6/20)
November brings laughter and fun times with your sweetie, but does not promise to be lasting. The urge to flit and flirt is strong, perhaps with a sexy, exotic stranger, but if you’re happy with your current love, better behave yourself. You may be able to wheedle your way into an important position at work with all that charm.
Cancer (6/21-7/22)
November’s focus is on one-to-one relationships, Cancer. Be careful not to blow things out of proportion or to become obsessive. November 10th, 18th, and 25th are volatile days, where you will do whatever it takes to get your point across. Issues and emotions are likely to explode. You could decide to cut someone out of your life completely. If someone challenges you, you won’t take kindly to it.
Leo (7/23-8/22)
November brings a fun month, full of activities. It won’t be easy to get up and go to work, especially if you’re not happy there. Just stay put until another opportunity comes along, and it will-Leo! Thanksgiving weekend could involve a new love, or meeting someone new. If married, you could be expecting a new arrival.
Virgo (8/23-9/22)
November brings in clear communication after October’s Mercury retrograde phase. Speak your mind clearly. Just when you said you’d never have another long-distance relationship, your pen pal is genuinely interested in getting to know you better. Someone thinks you’re not quite in your game on the Thanksgiving weekend. They care, or they would not have said a word.
Libra (9/23-10/22)
November brings you some romantic action, Libra. While someone’s extravagance might mean a fun evening out and create a lasting memory, don’t invest too much into it. Protect your heart, but enjoy the ride! Enjoy the fun, but don’t book a flight to Vegas yet; get to know them better first.
Scorpio (10/ 23-11/22)
Your antennae will be especially keen this month. Anyone you suspect of anything at all will not be able to hide it from you. Warn them not to bother lying. While you do love to solve mysteries and puzzles, you could be drained by the Thanksgiving weekend. Take a break, Scorpio! Just when you thought you were caught up with the bills, a spending spree hits you over Black Friday.
Sagittarius (11/23-12/21)
Over the past two years you’ve been keeping everything to yourself, but now you’re at the end of that period. Now, at last, you begin to see a light at the end of this tunnel. If your conscious is bothering you and you need to come clean, then go for it. It’s time! You may have some good-byes to say, but aren’t too eager to have these conversations. Any endings or new beginnings will happen very quickly. At Thanksgiving you might be tempted to buy a gift or invest in an adventure for someone you admire.
Capricorn (12/22-1/19)
November brings a new personal attraction. The energies will not rest until you’ve reached out to someone you’ve been eying from afar. Why wait? Who could possibly resist you now? You will not spend any time alone unless it’s absolutely necessary, unless it’s with your sweetheart. However if you’re not happy with certain groups and associates, it may be best to step away from the crowd. Some very subtle energies are occurring that effect you directly in the long run.
Aquarius (1/20-2/18)
As November opens, you may spend a few nights alone, but it’s your choice. You’ll need to conserve your energy for the busy Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. You will need to make some choices about spending too much time on the job, and giving time to family and loved ones. A family member asks you to take over the finances at the Thanksgiving Holiday. Think about the time you’ll have to invest before agreeing.
Pisces (2/19-3/20)
November brings work related activities that are almost frantic. You’ve never been comfortable stepping into the spotlight, but you are on the receiving end of recognition and awards. At Thanksgiving what you need most is to retreat with a close friend for some uninterrupted days of R&R. It’s time to overhaul your finances as well. Applying for a loan or negotiating the terms of an overdue debt should go quite well.
