MEDITATION

There comes a time when you seek to comprehend the true meaning of PEACE, and how you as an individual may find that peace, a peace which the world can neither give you nor take from you.

This is one way. Visualize the blazing Star, still, as yet full of life and light. Identify yourself with the Star, with the center of that Star. Allow your energies to go into the still center of that Star. Within that center you will find that all the anxieties of material life, all the struggles that you encounter in daily life, will fall away from you. In the heart of the Star is deep, eternal peace, and within this peace you are united with those whom you love.

On a daily basis give yourself time to enter this Star Temple, this calming scene. Go into it, away from the noise and turmoil, confusion, fears and anxieties of the material plane. There, within the center of this Star, find divine, holy peace. Hear within your Soul the music of the heavenly spheres, the music of the Holy Word, the audible life-stream which flows from the heart of the Creator.

Be still now, within your mind and body. Listen inwardly. Beneath all sound, beneath all thought, in the deep silence at the heart of creation, you will hear the harmony of God.

The Sun has entered SAGITTARIUS

The sign of SAGITTARIUS is signified by the Archer or mythological Centaur and gives you cosmic relief after the ordeals of the intense Scorpio energies. An optimistic and enthusiastic demeanor sustains your one-pointed efforts and sparks a renewed sense of daring and adventure in the outside world. While your path can include sports, long-distance journeys, and philosophical inquiries, steer clear of the temptation to be a dilettante—an amateur in many fields but master of none. As you strive towards truth and wisdom, it is easy to see the universal picture but ignore practical details and then complain about hard work. The fires of this sagacious sign can entice you with illusions of greatness or turn your gaze towards clear, long-range aspirations. It is up to you to see each goal with precision, reach it, and be willing to go on to the next one. 2012 Can bring you a year of wonderful, magical success, or a time of resentment and regret. It’s up to you. Use this fiery energy to move ahead, and your aspirations will soar. Make a small effort, and watch the Universe support you, big time!

Sagittarius governs philosophy, spiritual growth, higher learning, expansion, optimism, and foreign travel. It is ruled by Jupiter and it’s element is fire, demonstrated through Sagittarians’ burning enthusiasm. It’s quality is mutable, which signifies those who are amenable and adaptable. When the Sun moves into Sagittarius autumn turns to winter and so it indicates a shift between two seasons or two life cycles. 2012 brings you a completely new lifestyle. Begin to plan by writing resolutions of what you hope to accomplish and bring into your life in 2012. Luck, growth and leaving the past behind for success, is with you Sag!

Based on the Rune Breakthrough and the Animal Moose, December brings snow, snow, snow as well as a focus on your well being, your energy levels and future endeavors. It is time for the truth to come out as well as building up or renewing and healing relationships, and finally letting go of any negative situations or painful memories from the past. The strength and stamina are available for you to finally make some important and significant changes as the New Year opens. 2012 brings important decisions, life changes, and a new direction.

ANIMAL: MOOSE—Self-Esteem

Moose,
Help me to honor
The gifts I can give,
And recognize my worthiness
As long as I live.

Moose is found in the North of the medicine wheel, as is the Buffalo. North represents the place of wisdom. Self-esteem is the medicine of Moose because it represents the power of recognizing that wisdom has been used in a situation and that recognition, or a pat on the back is deserved.

Moose is the largest member of the deer family and has great strength. The call of the male moose is an awesome thing to hear on a musky spring night. His pride in his maleness and his desire to share his seed with a Moose cow are displays of his sense of self-esteem. The bellow of a male Moose can be viewed as a positive force, since it represents his willingness to tell the world about his feelings.

This tell the world trait contains a joyfulness which only comes with a sense of accomplishment. there is no greater joy than a job well done. This trait is therefore not a seeking of approval, but rather an enjoyment of sharing because of the spontaneous explosion of joy that comes from the deepest part of one’s being.

The wisdom woven throughout this scene is that creation constantly brings forth new ideas and further creation. Moose is telling us that joy should be shouted with pride. The wisdom in doing this shouting is that JOY is catching. In a sense, the bellowing is a way for us all to lighten up and give ourselves or each other applause and know the job was well done.

Moose medicine people have the wisdom to know when to use the gentleness of the Deer and when to activate the stampede of the Buffalo. They understand the balance of giving orders to get things done and having the willingness to do things for themselves. The wisdom of Moose medicine is akin to the Grandfather Warrior who has long since put away his war paint and is now advising the young bucks to cool their blood.

Moose medicine is often found in elders who have walked the good earth and have seen many things on their Earth Walk. Their joy lies in being the teachers of children, and in being the first ones to give encouragement. This is not to say that Moose medicine people do not use their wisdom to warn as well as to give praise, because they do. Moose medicine people know what to say, when to say it, and to whom!

The elders are honored in tribala law for their gifts of wisdom, for their teaching abilities, and for the calmness they impart in Council. If you are wise beyond your years and have the gift of Moose medicine, use this gift to encourage others to grow. There are may facets to the wisdom of Moose medicine.

December 2011 brings Moose into the vibration to remind us about strength and endurance in the coming months. If you have reason to feel you’ve accomplished something on your life journey then be sure to jump for joy. This may be a habit you have broken, a completion of some sort, an insight on a goal, or a new sense of self that you have fought hard to earn. This is a time for feeling harmonious pride, and of recognizing those who have aided you in this process.

DECEMBER CRYSTAL—Turquoise

The word turquoise comes from a Greek word Turkois which means Turkish as this is was the first turquoise that came into Europe. It is a sacred stone in many cultures and is one of the earliest known protective amulets. It is an important stone to the ancient cultures of the Native Americans, Tibetans, and the Egyptians a well, who used it in ritual objects and jewelery. It was also used by the Aztecs and in ancient Mexico, and thought to be a stone of the Gods, and as such was never worn by mortals. It is a very popular stone crystal, especially when set into jewelery. Turquoise is known as a bridge between earth and sky bringing together these male and female energies. It opens us up to the consciousness of the Universe. It is protective and grounds scattered energies. This stone changes color when it comes in contact with any kind of poison. Turquoise is a highly spiritual stone crystal, which is soothing to the spirit and brings peace of mind and serenity to the user. It is said to protect against pollutants in the environment and clears negativity; this stone bestows happiness, success, good fortune and prosperity to the user. It helps with open communication, imparts wisdom and understanding, and promotes kindness and trust. It is a stone of mental clarity and encourages creative problem solving.

RUNE FOR DECEMBER

BREAKTHROUGH (Dagaz)—Transformation Day

Dagaz is the final Rune belonging to the Cycle of Self-Transformation. December 2011 will mark a major shift or breakthrough in the process of self-change, along with a complete transformation of attitude, a 180 degree turn. For some, this transition is so radical that they no longer continue to live the ordinary life in the ordinary way.

Because the timing is right, the outcome is assured, although not from the present vantage point, predictable. Rely now on inner trust, although the moment may call for you to leap, empty handed, into the void. Confront and vanquish your refusal to allow right action to flow through you. In each lifetime there comes a moment, when, if recognized and seized, transforms the course of that life forever. With this Rune—Breakthrough —your warrior nature reveals itself.

A major period of achievement and prosperity is introduced into your life with this Rune. The darkness is behind you; daylight has come. However, as always, you are put on notice to be mindful not to collapse yourself into the future or behave recklessly in your new situation. A lot of hard work can be involved in a time of such transformation. Undertake it—and do it joyfully.

Don’t be afraid to make the leap or take the chance.

STARGAZING FOR SAGITTARIUS 2011

SAGITTARIUS

The December 10th Full Moon in Gemini brings a full Lunar Eclipse. Visible over the United States, this eclipse encourages knowledge to become widely spread throughout the world, through the media. Prior technology becomes obsolete, as we wonder exactly what the next generation of technology will be.

The December 24th New Moon in Capricorn brings blessings from our galaxy to the Earth. This earthy New Moon favors new beginnings for practical activities like business plans, investments, and enhancing careers; also people in authority like presidents, bosses, fathers, security issues and long-term commitments. We end the year with joy and positive energy, with a return of hope and optimism.

SAGITTARIUS: Polarity: Masculine Sign: Mutable Element: Fire Planetary Rule: 9th House/Jupiter Body: Liver-Hips-Thighs FOCUS I See.

Mercury is retrograde through December 13th
and in its Storm though December 19th.

THE PERSONAL SIGNS

 Aries (3/21 – 4/20)

December promises to be active. Matters put on hold begin to move forward. Career related changes are possible. Do your best to sidestep any power struggles at the office. Good Holiday socializing.

 Taurus (4/21-5/21)

December reminds you that sometimes there’s nothing you can do about poor timing. Difficult challenges arise in two areas, travel and relatives. Stay home for the Holidays if you can; if not be prepared for delays and cancellations. Plan after-work get-togethers before New Years and you’ll be the life of the party.

 Gemini (5/21-6/20)

Someone you meet the first three weeks of November could bring you luck in mid-December. December brings a period of financial change along with the unexpected. Anything is possible from a lottery win to high expenses. Caution is required in all financial transactions, and don’t max out your credit cards to purchase Holiday gifts. Positive energy comes before year’s end, so prepare for a Happy 2012.

 Cancer (6/21-7/22)

December brings a need for caution and reflection time. If you have a clash with someone at work, stay calm. You have an increasing desire for independence and freedom. Remember, sometimes it’s necessary to work within the system in order to eventually step out of it. The Holiday parties put you in the right place at the right time to impress others. New Year’s Eve is warm and cozy. Cuddle and enjoy the hugs and kisses.

 Leo (7/23-8/22)

December warns you to stay under the radar at work as much as possible while accepting responsibility at work. You could have some difficulties as 2011 comes to a close. If Holiday travel is a must, be prepared for bad weather and cancellations. New Year’s Eve with your beloved could trigger an unexpected talk of commitment in 2012.

 Virgo (8/23-9/22)

December brings invitations to social events. Consider hosting a gathering of close friends in your home around the 17th. A dating relationship could end around the 24th. Family relationships are upbeat and enjoyable over Holiday week. If you travel, be prepared for delays.

 Libra (9/23-10/22)

You’ll receive a heavy volume of calls and e-mails this month, Libra. December can be tension-filled at times, especially while Mercury is retrograde. Relatives could be the source of the stress so this isn’t the best time to journey home for the Holidays. New Year’s Eve is a time to touch base with faraway friends.

Scorpio (10/ 23-11/22)

Keep your eyes open. You’ll want to be very careful on the road in December, Scorpio, especially if you live in an area prone to severe weather. If you suspect any mechanical problems, take your car to the shop right away. Family members bring many pleasant surprises over the Holidays. Invite a few neighbors to stop in on New Year’s Eve.

Sagittarius (11/23-12/21)

You’ll be among the most popular in any social scene, Sag. December brings a focus on finances, as usual. Keep your mind sharp and resist the urge to spend freely. Enjoy a big Holiday gathering with friends and family. Consider hosting a small, home party on New Year’s Eve. 2012 brings you abundance, expansion, and growth!

 Capricorn (12/22-1/19)

December brings a few challenges with your family and career. Adapt an easygoing attitude and allow events to fall as they may. With Mercury retrograde things tend to change suddenly anyway. Your charisma is noted during the last week, and you’re a terrific influence with Holiday socializing. New Years Eve brings you a nice and unexpected gift. Welcome 2012.
 Aquarius (1/20-2/18)

December’s weather makes travel difficult. So be especially careful on the roads. You are susceptible to colds and flu during Holiday week so take some extra precautions. You have powers of attraction and an electric aura on New Year’s Eve.

 Pisces (2/19-3/20)

December finds that some new friendships are in for a bumpy ride. You may cut ties if you find that their ethics are different from yours. The situation reaches its peak over the Winter Solstice on the 21st. Skip social events during that week if possible, because travel is inadvisable. Decorate, cook, wrap, and invite friends over during Holiday week. Take time with loved ones and family. Couples delight in togetherness on New Year’s Eve!
