MEDITATION

The Sun has entered PISCES

The sign of PISCES in March, 2017, reminds us of the entwined Fish, two spiritual energies becoming paramount, faith and compassion. Faith is the magical elixir that can vanquish hesitation, paralyzing anxiety and qualms. It can transfigure your life, offering increased psychic sensitivity, universal love and divine enlightenment. Compassion is essential now that you are in the final phase of the zodiac journey. Altruism must take precedence over egotism as empathy for all of humanity replaces individual pride and competitive tendencies. Understanding, as a broad comprehension of life’s mysteries, is the special gift of every Pisces. No matter what sign of the twelve you may be, this month can make you an imaginative visionary with the mastery to benefit others in a variety of ways

ANIMAL: LIZARD — Dreaming

Lizard…will you dream with me?
Travel across the stars?
Beyond the place of time and space,
There live visions from afar

Lizard sat lolling in the shadow of a big rock, shading himself from the desert sun. Snake crawled by, looking for some shadow to coil up in and rest. Snake watched Lizard for awhile as Lizard’s eyeballs went from side to side behind his enormous closed lids. Snake hissed to get Lizard’s attention. Slowly Lizard’s dreaming eyes opened and he saw Snake.

Snake! You scared me! What do you want?” Lizard cried.

Snake spit his answer from his forked tongue. “Lizard you are always getting the best shadow spots in the heat of the day. This is the only big rock for miles. Why don’t you share your shade with me?”

Lizard thought for a moment, then agreed. “Snake, you can share my shade spot, but you have to go to the other side of the rock and you must promise not to interrupt me.”

Snake was getting annoyed. He hissed, “How could I  bother  you Lizard? All you are doing is sleeping.”

Lizard smiled knowingly. “Oh Snake, you are such a silly serpent. I’m not sleeping. I’m dreaming.”

Snake wanted to know what the difference was, so Lizard explained. “Dreaming is going into the future, Snake.  I go where the future lives. You see, that is why I know you won’t eat me today. I dreamed you and I know you are full of mouse.”

Snake was taken aback. “Why Lizard, you are exactly right. I wondered why you said you would share your rock.”

Lizard laughed to himself. “Snake,” he said, “you are looking for shade and I am looking for shadow. Shadow is where the dreams live.”

Lizard medicine is the shadow side of reality where your dreams are reviewed before you decide to manifest them physically. Lizard could have created getting eaten by Snake if he had so desired.

Lizard is the medicine of dreamers. Whether dreamers smoke you or dream you, dreamers can always help you to see the shadow. This shadow can be your fears, your hopes, or the very thing you are resisting, but it is always following you around like an obedient dog.
March 2017 is a time to look and see what is following along behind you. Is it your fears, your future trying to catch up to you, or is it the part of you that wants to ignore your weakness and humanness?

Lizard is suggesting that you pay attention to your dreams and their symbols. Make a dream log and record all that you remember. Be sure to pay attention to each individual symbol or recurring pattern. If you do not remember your dreams, you could try setting a music alarm for 2:00 or 3:00 am. Or you could try to drink a lot of water at bedtime and allow your bladder to wake you up. Dreams are very important and we need to learn to pay attention to them.

You may not have a dream for your future at this time. Remember that imagination is the door to all new ideas and creations. As you examine the dreaming process, you will find that the subconscious is processing all of the recorded messages it holds concerning the event you experience throughout the day. These messages can be suppressed feelings that brings about inner conflict, or they can be new ideas or goals, other dimensions of awareness, future events, warning signals, or desires and hopes.

In one sense, Lizard is insisting that you look into your imagination for new experience. This is necessary when life becomes dull or full of boredom. On the other hand, Lizard medicine may also apply to those of us who dream too much, refusing to use our dreams as tools to manifest that same vision in their lives.

All levels of awareness are accessible through dreams. Remember, life is not always what is seems. Are you the dreamer or are you the dreamed?

RUNE OF THE MONTH

CONSTRAINT – Necessity – Pain

Hagalaz represents the urge to change. This Rune brings freedom, invention and liberation. The time of Virgo energies 2011 indicate a pressing need within the psyche to break free from constricting identification with material reality and to experience the world of archetypal mind.

Hagalaz is the Rune of elemental disruption, representing unaccountable weather conditions, sudden storms, winds and events beyond your control. The energies of Virgo will be a time of Awakening although the form in which the awakening takes may vary for each one of us. Perhaps you will experience a gradual feeling of coming to your senses, as though you were emerging from a long sleep. Then again, the onset of power may be such as to rip away the fabric of what you previously knew as your reality, your security, your understanding of yourself, your work, your relationships and beliefs.

Be aware, however, that what operates here is not ultimately an outside force, not a situation of you at the mercy of the externals. Your own nature is creating what is happening and you are not without power in the situation. The inner strength you have funded until now in your life, is your support and guide at a time when everything you’ve taken for granted is being challenged.

This time of PISCES 2017 puts us all on notice! Severe changes are on the way! You may sustain loss or damage. A tree may fall on your home, your town may be hit by a tidal wave, or tornadoes, a relationship may fail, plans go wrong, a source of financial supply may dry up. Be forewarned! Be encouraged to understand and accept that what occurs is necessary, called for in your deepest self as a cry for a pressing need for growth.

There is nothing trivial about this RUNE. The more severe the disruption in your life, the more significant and timely the requirements for your growth. The term radical discontinuity best describes the action of this, a Cycle of Runes at its most forceful. The Universe and your own Soul are demanding that you do, indeed, grow.

This has always been the section for Healing Requests. Through the power of group prayers, healing take place spontaneously. You can be of help to many others, as well as your loved ones, with one minute of silence at 7:30 pm EST every Sunday evening, anywhere in the world. With a prayer for the recovery of health, universal energy is sent out to any and all who send in their prayer request. What is needed is the name and birth date of the ill person, along with a diagnosis, if possible. What are you asking to be lifted? When you place your request in the Healing Circle of Light—located in our Prayer Room— know that as soon as you make your Prayer request and Healing request, you will begin to see positive results!

The March 12th Full Moon in Virgo brings the end of Daylight Savings time. Time to set your clocks one hour ahead. Also you can make improvements with your health, diet as well as your job. However, expect some blocks and delays with moving forward.

The March 27th New Moon in Aries brings an exciting new drive. If you’re planning to begin something new, this is the time to start.

THE PERSONAL SIGNS

Aries (3/21 – 4/20)

Rest won’t come easy this month, Aries. The good news is that you’ll feel super energized and soar higher than plane, etc. This super powerful energy doesn’t come by very often, so use it wisely. Help someone! Your charisma is on a high level, and several old flames may come back into your life to say, “hi.”

Taurus (4/21-5/21)

Expect old friends to cross your path as March opens, Taurus, even if they live out of the area or out of state. You may decide to reach out to an old lover who got away. Passions heat up now, for good or for ill. Watch your temper and take lots of deep breaths.

Gemini (5/21-6/20)

Time to let your colleagues and power that be that you feel it’s time to branch out. You’re ready to expand. You could break down the doors of groups and gain a couple of accomplices. Also, you have a chance to straighten out your finances again. You have two major areas that are pressing, money and romantic. However, you may have to wait a bit to get started.

Cancer (6/21-7/22)

You probably won’t get much rest this month, Cancer. It’s time for you to review your relationships, both from long ago and present. You may take to Social Media to locate a few of them. Remember that people really don’t change, well most don’t. You may have a work-oriented goal to accomplish, and a stormy path with the higher-ups and authority figures.

Leo (7/23-8/22)

You definitely won’t be bored this month, Leo. You may have more social engagements than you can actually get to. You could hear from someone who lives in a foreign country, or someone who lives far away. Someone you’ve been missing for a long time. The good news is that you two have a full month to plan and shorten the distance between you.

Virgo (8/23-9/22)

You’ve been working for a very long time, and definitely need a break, Virgo. Take a few days off and talk someone special into playing hooky with you. If you’ve been dating someone casually and want to make it exclusive, plan a talk to work things out. You’re usually pretty practical, so don’t be tempted to overspend at month’s end. Sitting still is not easy for you, but someone could talk you into taking a day off to cuddle down and curling up with.

Libra (9/23-10/22)

March brings you romance and intimate encounters If someone from the past re-enters your life, think twice before you return to this relationship just because it feels familiar. Know that you’re a real catch, you deserve the best, and trust your gut. You could meet someone from out-of-town with an accent with whom you feel an attraction. Just be cautious.

Scorpio (10/ 23-11/22)

If you’re up to a spontaneous get-away this month, the weekend of March 24^th is perfect. The planets provide energy, boldness, and curiosity to visit new places or try something new. One never knows what that might be, but who cares? Go for it! You might just pick up the phone and arrange to visit someone you haven’t seen in a long time. If you have the feeling that a certain career-oriented situation is temporarily out of control, trust your own judgment. You’re probably right.

Sagittarius (11/23-12/21)

Yes indeed! March bring you a good time! There will be no holding back from trying anything new; the more exciting, the better. Missing someone from the past? They just might look you up and pursue you for the second or third time, Sag. Make sure you’re not just seeking out what’s familiar. You need to keep an eye on your money now. Don’t be in a hurry, and be sure you’re getting your money’s worth.

Capricorn (12/22-1/19)

You’re a force to be reckoned with, and March will keep you moving, Capricorn. You may want to delegate some duties around the 27^th, and take a break. Many of your encounters will be turned into emotional exchanges that come right from the heart. If someone apologizes, or attempts to, no matter how awkwardly, do yourself a favor and accept. There is some tension between you and a higher-up, elder, or authority at month’s end. Just apologize and move on.

Aquarius (1/20-2/18)

It’s almost playtime, but March is a heavy working month, Aquarius. That doesn’t mean you won’t have fun, but there’s not much downtime. You could meet a new love interest from far-away places now. You’re not one to move quickly, but in this case, you may just know it’s the right thing to do. Mid-month you have to make a tough decision about finances and shared resources. If you’ve been take advantage of, ask for it back. You’ll probably get in just before you say good-bye.

Pisces (2/19-3/20)

If you suddenly have the feeling that you’re on a magic carpet ride in March, Pisces, you’re probably right! The first half of the month the Universe will see to it that you’re surrounded by kind, loving, and supportive friends. At month’s end plan a get-away and spend some time by the water. Also, someone you adore is about to make their feelings known to you, in the nicest way.
