We give you a vision now of your brethren, kneeling around the altar in the temple of the Eight Pointed Star. With the body in the lotus position, they are worshiping the ever-glowing light of the jewel of the White Lotus Blossom. This White Lotus glows in the glory of every heart. The jewel within this lotus – the glow of the Ruby – is pure and still. As you meditate on this you will learn real wisdom. You will learn to go directly to this jewel hidden deep within you, and here, in a timeless flash, you will comprehend the truth. Not with your mind, but with your heart.

The Sun has entered LIBRA
Airy Libra is the only Stargazing sign that is not represented by a human or an animal symbol. The scales of justice symbolize the need to balance feminine and masculine principles and reminds us to apply the laws that enable diverse people to mingle amicably. This happy equilibrium can flower only if harmony and tranquility are found and well cultivated. To achieve Librian balance in this autumn cycle, reinforced decisiveness is needed over all other attributes. Try to discover your treasure cove, your place of calmness, of inner serenity and artistic genius, but avoid the shadowy pathways of idle fantasies and superficial dodges from responsibility. Living close to your loved ones, building strong family ties as well as close friendships, will give you peace of mind that an external world cannot guarantee.
Career, work, and the networking scene are your major themes for 2012/13, along with a possible new home or refurbished one, an active social life and opportunities to shine on the job. Jupiter remains in flighty Gemini and travels through your Tenth House of career and the Father. This fortunate planet will prompt you to relocate, remodel or redecorate, or rent or buy a new home. You’ll also enjoy many happy moments with family while entertaining your friends. Include potential networking contacts in this mix because one or more of them will come in handy in 2013, to advance your career aims. Also, you may have a desire to improve your domestic skills; you might develop an interest in gourmet cooking or delve into interior decorating, refinishing furniture or gardening. Once Saturn leaves Libra and enters Scorpio, on the 5th, the pressure to change eases off and you should begin to reap some rewards. ANIMAL—THE TURTLE – MOTHER EARTH
Turtle ——— Great Mother
Feed my Spirit with your Harvest,
Clothe my Heart with your warmth,
That I may serve you, too.
In Shaman teachings, Turtle is the oldest symbol for the planet Earth. It is the personification of goddess energy, and the Eternal Mother from which our lives evolve. We are born of the womb of Earth, and into her soil our bodies will return. In honoring the Earth, we are asked by Turtle to be mindful of the cycle of give and take, to give back to our Mother what she has so generously given to us.
Turtle has a shell which is similar to the protection that Earth has employed for centuries as her body has been defiled. Mother Earth’s protection has come in the form of Earth changes, new plant growth, and the creation of new land masses by volcanoes and climate alterations. Like Turtle, you also have shells that protect you from hurt, envy, jealousy, and the unconsciousness of others. Turtle teaches you, by its habit patterns, how to use protection. If you are bothered by the actions and words of others, it is time to go inside yourself and honor your feelings. If you are attacked, it is time to give a warning snap!
October has chosen the symbol of Turtle for its expression. You are being asked to honor the creative source within you, to be grounded to the Earth, and to observe your life situation with motherly compassion. Use the water and earth energies, which represent Turtle’s two homes, to flow harmoniously with your situation and to place your feet firmly on the ground in a power stance.
Turtle is a fine teacher in the art of grounding. You may even be able to overcome some of your “space cadet” tendencies if you align with the Turtle. In learning to ground, you are placing focus on your thoughts and actions and slowing to a pace that assures completion. Turtle warns you of the dangers of “pushing the river”, as evidenced by the plodding place it keeps. The corn that is harvested before its time is not yet full. However, if given a chance to develop at its own rate, in its own season, its sweetness will be shared by all.
Turtle buries its thoughts, like its eggs, in the sand, and allows the Sun to hatch the little ones. This teaches you to develop your ideas before bringing them out into the light. Look at the oldest fable of the tortoise and the hare, and decide if you would like to align yourself with the Turtle. Bigger, stronger and faster are not always the best ways to get to a goal. When you arrive, you may be asked where you have been and you may not be able to remember. In that case, arriving prematurely can make you feel very immature.
October, the Harvest month, has been chosen as the month for the Turtle, which augurs a time of connecting with the power of the Earth — the Mother-Goddess within. It does not matter what situation you have created in your life. This is a reminder of the ally you have with the Mother Earth. Ask her for assistance and abundance will follow.

OPAL: Brings tears to those who wear it, unless born in the month of October; then it brings good fortune and luck. Stimulates the pineal and pituitary glands. Aids eyesight. Emotional balancer. Enhances intuition. Contains the full spectrum of colors and resonates with all Chakras. Helps bring conscious connection with the Blessed Higher Self.
ADVENTURINE: Variety of quartz. Calms nerves, reduces fluid retention, helps weight loss and strengthens kidneys. Purifies the body. Enhances calmness of mind, aids creative self-expression. Brings physical, mental, emotional and spiritual balance. Helps banish fears and phobias. Excellent for meditation, inspiration, peace, calmness, love. Cleanses the throat Chakra and Solar Plexus.
RUNE of the Month – Isa
STANDSTILL
That Which Impedes — Ice
Isa represents the Rune that focus on the winter of the Spiritual part of life. You may find yourself entangled in a situation to whose implications you are, in effect, blind. You may be powerless to do anything except surrender, submit, even sacrifice some long-cherished desire. Be patient for this is the fallow period that precedes a rebirth.
Positive accomplishment is unlikely now. There is a freeze on useful activity, as all of your plans are on hold. You may be experiencing an unaccustomed drain on your energy and wonder why. The chill wind is reaching you over the ice floes of old outmoded habits.
Trying to hold on can result in shallowness of feeling, a sense of being out of touch with life, out of phase. Seek to discover what it is that you are holding onto that keeps this condition in effect, and let it go. Shed, release and cleanse away the old. That will bring on the thaw. Usually Isa requires a sacrifice of the personal, the I.
Yet, there is no reason for anxiety. Submit and be still. What you are experiencing is not necessarily the result of your actions, your habits, but the conditions of the time, against which you can do nothing. What has been full must be empty. What has increased must decrease. This is the way of heaven and earth. To surrender is to display courage and wisdom.
During this time do not expect to rely on help or friendly support. Exercise caution in your isolation, and do not stubbornly persist in attempting to work your will. Remain mindful that the seed of the new is present in the shell of the old, the seed of unrealized potential, the seed of good. Your conduct now will bring the new fruit to ripeness, or cause it to rot on the vine. Trust your own process, your Blessed Higher Self and watch for the signs of Spring that eventually come.
Don’t be afraid to make the leap or take the chance.
