The Sun has entered LEO
The fiery sign of LEO has an inside track on love, power and the universe. One of the best routes you can take is heart-focused meditation. Anything you can do to enhance the purity of your ideas and creativity will bring you rewards. Developing and using your creative abilities creates an energy flow within you that triggers that same flow to others when they encounter the work you have done. Music, acting and temporal forms of artistic expression that involve an audience as you create, brings you an especially potent technique. Engaging in sports activities brings joy and enthusiasm and at its best, brings playfulness to both spectators and players. Taking on a leadership role will challenge you to bring forth your best, Leo. Working and playing with children can also trigger spontaneity within for the benefit of everyone involved. Children respond the best when someone is able to touch their minds and hearts to draw them out. Their relative openness, especially when young, will allow you to open your heart as well. No matter what you do, if you realize that by giving to others you give to and improve yourself, you will always be on the right track.

ANIMAL—THE SWAN – GRACE
Swan, the power of woman
Entering Sacred Space
Touching the future,
Yet to come,
Bringing eternal grace.
Little Swan flew through the Dreamtime, the veil of light, looking for the future. She rested a moment in the coolness of the pond, looking for a way to find the entry point to the future, the Stargate. This was a moment of confusion for the Swan, as she knew she had happened into Dreamtime by accident. This was her first meditation flight alone and she was a bit concerned about the Dreamtime landscape.
As Swan looked high above Sacred Mountain, she saw the biggest swirling black hole she had ever seen. Dragonfly came flying by, and Swan stopped him to ask about the black hole. Dragonfly said, “Swan, that is the doorway to the other planes of our imagination. I have been a guardian of the illusion for many moons. If you want to enter there, you will have to ask permission of the higher forces and earn the right to do so.”
Swan was not so sure she wanted to enter the black hole. She asked Dragonfly what was necessary to earn the entry. “You must be willing to accept whatever the future holds as it is presented in your life, without trying to change the Great Spirit plan.” Swan looked at her ugly duckling body and then answered, “I will be happy to abide by the Great Spirit plan. I will not fight the currents of the black hole. I will surrender to the flow of the spiral and trust what I am shown.” Dragonfly was very happy with her answer and began to spin the magic to break through the illusion of the pond. Suddenly Swan was engulfed in the whirlpool in the center of the pond.
Swan reappeared many days later, but now she was graceful, white and had a long neck. Dragonfly was stunned! “Swan what happened to you?”, he exclaimed. Swan smiled and said, “Dragonfly, I learned to surrender my body to the power of the Great Spirit and was taken to where the future lives. I saw many wonders high on the Sacred Mountain and because of my faith and my acceptance, I have been changed. I have learned to accept the “State of Grace.” Dragonfly was very happy for Swan.
Swan told Dragonfly many wonders beyond the veil of illusion. Through her healing and her acceptance of the State of Grace, she was given permission to enter the Dreamtime.
So it is that we learn to surrender into the grace and rhythm of the Universe and we are able to slip our physical bodies into Dreamtime. Swan medicine teaches us to be one with all planes of consciousness, and to trust in the Great Spirit protection.
August 2012 ushers in a time of altered states of consciousness and the development of your intuitive abilities. Swan medicine people have the ability to see the future, to surrender to the power of Great Spirit, and to accept healing along with transformation of their lives.
August 2012 is telling you to accept your ability to know what lies ahead. If you are resisting your self-transformation, relax! It will be easier when you go with the flow. Stop denying to yourself that you know who it is when the phone rings. Pay attention to your inner hunches as well as your gut feeling reactions, and honor the female intuitive side of yourself.
AUGUST CRYSTAL: Peridot – Onyx
PERIDOT: Balances the glandular system. Aids in tissue regeneration. Has beneficial infuences on the heart, pancreas, spleen, liver, adrenals and purifies the body. Strengthens bloodstream. Overall balancer of the mind and body. Aligns the subtle bodies and increases intuitive awareness. Reduces stress. Stimulates the mind and thinking process. Accelerates personal growth. Opens new pathways to new opportunities. Helpful when going through sudden change or crisis.
ONYX: Relieves stress and removes negative energies. Balances the male/female polarities. Strengthens bone marrow. Aids in detachment. Enhances emotional balance and self-control. Creates desire for higher inspiration and brings it in. Works with the seven chakras and our attitudes, depending on the color of the onyx.
RUNE of the Month—Ehwaz
Movement—Progress—A Horse
Ehwaz represents the Rune of Movement, of physical shifts, new dwelling places, new attitudes, new life; movement also, in the sense of improving or bettering any situation.
Ehwaz is the Rune of transit and transformation. There is about this Rune a sense of gradual development and steady progress, with the accompanying awareness of slow growth through numerous shifts and changes. This could apply to the growth of a business or the development of an idea. A relationship also needs to undergo changes and transformations if it is to maintain growth and life. Personal moral effort and persevering steadfastness are called for during the month of August.
Let it be said this way, “As I cultivate my nature and character, all else follows.” A horse is the Rune symbol because it progresses gradually. From Bronze Age artifacts we find the sun linked to the horse. The Horse symbolized the Sun and was thought to be pulling it across the sky. In August of 2012, the Rune Ehwaz is saying you have progressed far enough to feel a measure of safety, of surety in your position. Now it is time to turn again and face the future reassured and be prepared to share the good fortune that comes. This last comment, the sharing, is significant, as it relates to the power of the Sun to foster life and illuminate all things in its light. Be that!
You are put on notice during the time of LEO energies that an opportunity is at hand and should not be lost or ignored. Be certain that what you are doing, or not doing, is timely. There are no missed opportunities but we simply must recognize that all opportunities are not for us. If you are feeling blocked or clouded and unclear about what action to take, meditate on it. Consider what is timely and appropriate to your nature. The opportunity at hand may be not to act with childish or outdated responses and to grow in strength. Always remember that what is yours will always come to you.
Don’t be afraid to make the leap or take the chance.

You can be of help to many others, as well as your loved ones, with one minute of silence at 7:30 pm EST every Sunday evening anywhere in the world. With a prayer for the recovery of health, universal energy is sent out to any and all who send in their prayer request. What is needed is the name and birth date of the ill person, along with a diagnosis, if possible. What are you asking to be lifted? When you place your request in the Healing Circle of Light—located in our Prayer Room; know that as soon as you make your Prayer request and Healing request, you will begin to see positive results!

Pisces (2/19-3/20)
August brings two Full Moons. Focus this energy on maintaining your health by taking it easy in the evenings and on the weekends. After working hard, it’s the least you can do for yourself. Even better, take a get-away weekend, walk, get some exercise, spend time with your kids while enjoying the comforts of home. You could experience some difficulties, stress, and upsets with relationships and will need some quiet time.
