THE GOLDEN ROSE OF SUMMER
The Life That Makes All Things New
As you accept with patience and surrender the difficulties you encounter throughout life on a daily basis, so will you find flowing into you through the Crown Chakra, a light or life-force which will remove all anxiety and pain, making each day a new experience. This comes to each one of us gently, slowly, as we open ourselves from within to the gifts of Spirit. Occasionally you will become aware of a glow within your heart, or of a light feeling, and you will become aware of the harmony which is shaping your life right now through the power of the Divine.
If you direct the right thoughts to those around you, and begin to put the action of the Law of Love in front of any circumstances you may find yourself in, you will find that these troubles and upsets will gradually smooth themselves out. Events will begin to work more harmoniously for you and you will begin to feel, “God is very good to me.” You will begin to realize that within you, as you practice your daily meditations, there is a power building, a feeling of Love, which is helping you actively. This will guide you towards the desired balance of Love, Peace, and Harmony within your heart.
This glow within your heart which brings to you such sweet happiness and joy may remain for a few minutes, a few hours, or a few days – and then may disappear. Never fear for slowly this power and gratitude will increase in you. As your life continues, you will experience this renewing energy more often, for you are Ascending up a spiral of light and vibration which will eventually bring you, as a Daughter or Son of God, into the kingdom of eternal light and bliss.
Pray and and meditate on the yellow golden rose, the flower of God. You are looking at this rose from afar, as something outside of you. But it is within your heart, always! The petals of this divine flower are slowly opening as you chant your prayers, opening to

CANCER
Cancer, the first water sign, is the phase for personality integration and building an inspired home base in the world. Take the firey independence of Aries, the fierce dedication of Taurus, the effervescent thinking of Gemini and weave them into a firm foundation for individual fulfillment. Represented by the armored Crab and the agile Cat, this sign reminds you to be shrewd and tenacious and to keep clawing your way to success. ANIMAL: PORCUPINE
Porcupine
Porcupine…remind me
Of innocence again,
With every man a brother
Each woman a friend.
The South Door of the medicine wheel is the place of childlike innocence and humility. It is the home of playfulness, and the position of the Porcupine on the medicine wheel of life. Porcupine has many special qualities, and a very powerful medicine: this is the power of faith and trust. The power of faith contains within it the ability to move mountains. The power of trust in life involves trusting that the Great Spirit has a divine plan. Your task is to find the pathway that is most beneficial to you and that uses your greatest talents to further that plan. Trust can open doorways to the creation of space. The space thus created allows others to open their hearts to you and share their gifts of love, joy, and companionship. If you were to observe Porcupine, you would immediately notice its quills. These quills are only used when trust has been broken between Porcupine and another creature. Much like Otter, porcupine is a gentle, loving creature, and non-aggressive. When fear is not present it is possible to feed a Porcupine by hand and never get stuck by its quills.
Through understanding the basic nature of this animal, you may come to understand your own need for trust and faith, and to surrender every concern and every desire up to the divine; it’s like becoming a child again. In today’s society, this is a needed reminder to honor the wonder of life and the appreciation of every new day as an adventure of discovery.
Porcupine sat silently look at a hollow log. She wondered if it was a playhouse that nature had created just for her. Porcupine envisioned all the things she could do with the log. She could climb on top and make the log roll from side to side. She could go inside and see if there were any juicy worms for her dinner. She could scratch her back on the rough outer bark of the log if she wanted to.
Just as Porcupine was pondering what to do next, she saw Bear approaching. Bear was big and black and looking for honey. “Oh, another playmate to share my log,” she thought.
Gruff old Bear snorted,”Porcupine do you know that I’m too old to play? You’re in my way. I’m looking for honey. Go away!”
“Why Bear, you’re never too old to play,” she replied. “If you forgot what it was like to be a cub, you’ll always be as impatient and gruff as you are now.” Bear began to think about what Porcupine has said. Maybe she was right. All other creatures had run away from Bear in fright. Even the other Bears had turned up their noses when he growled at them. This little Porcupine was certainly trusting him not to eat her. She even offered to be his friend.
The old Bear looked at Porcupine and began to feel something move inside him. He started to remember the games he had played as a cub. Joy started to live in him again.
“Little Porcupine, you have reminded me that in becoming strong and seeking answers, I got caught in trying to be an intellectual. I became afraid of what other would think if I dropped my mask of gruffness. I was afraid they wouldn’t take me seriously anymore. You have taught me that in being a fuddy-duddy, I was caused others not to care about me. Thank you. I’d love to play with this old log.” And so it was that Bear became childlike again and learned the innocence of Porcupine.
July promises to be a backbreaking month! In choosing the Porcupine to represent the energies of July 2016, you have given yourself a gentle reminder not to get caught in the chaos of the adult world where fear, greed, and suffering are commonplace. The medicine of this Animal Card is that of relief from seriousness and severity. Open your heart to those things that gave you joy as a child. Remember the preciousness of fantasy and imagination, and the making of some game or toy from nothing but scraps. Honor the child within and the spirit that allows everyone to be a winner!

Hagalaz — Disruptive Natural Forces, Elemental Power, Hail
Hagalaz represents the urge to change. This Rune brings freedom, invention, and liberation. The time of July energies 2016 indicate a pressing need within the psyche to break free from constricting identification with material reality and to experience the world of archetypal mind.
Hagalaz is the Rune of elemental disruption, representing unaccountable weather conditions, sudden storms, winds and events beyond your control. The energies of Capricorn will be a time of Awakening although the form in which the awakening takes may vary for each one of us. Perhaps you will experience a gradual feeling of coming to your senses, as though you were emerging from a long sleep. Then again, the onset of power may be such as to rip away the fabric of what you previously knew as your reality, your security, your understanding of yourself, your work, your relationships and beliefs.
Be aware, however, that what operates here is not ultimately an outside force, not a situation of you at the mercy of the externals. Your own nature is creating what is happening and you are not without power in the situation. The inner strength you have funded until now in your life, is your support and guide at a time when everything you’ve taken for granted is being challenged.
This time of July 2016 puts us all on notice! Severe changes are on the way! You may sustain loss or damage, a tree may fall on your home, your town may be hit by a tidal wave, or tornadoes, a relationship may fail, plans go wrong, a source of financial supply may dry up. Be forewarned! Be encouraged to understand and accept that what occurs is necessary, called for from somewhere within in your deepest self as a cry and a pressing need for Soul growth.
There is nothing trivial about this RUNE. The more severe the disruption in your life, the more significant and timely the requirements for your growth. The term radical discontinuity best describes the action of this time, a Cycle of Runes at its most forceful. The Universe and your own Soul are demanding that you do, indeed, grow.
Don’t be afraid to make the leap or take the chance.

This has always been the section for Healing Requests. Through the power of group prayers, healing take place spontaneously. You can be of help to many others, as well as your loved ones, with one minute of silence at 7:30 pm EST every Sunday evening anywhere in the world. With a prayer for the recovery of health, universal energy is sent out to any and all who send in their prayer request. What is needed is the name and birth date of the ill person, along with a diagnosis, if possible. What are you asking to be lifted? When you place your request in the Healing Circle of Light—located in our Prayer Room; know that as soon as you make your Prayer request and Healing request, you will begin to see positive results!

The July 4th New Moon in Cancer brings a happy balance between this year’s New Moon in Cancer and the natal chart of the United States. This can make an astrologer smile. When the US was born on July 4th, 1776, the Sun was in Cancer and this year the New Moon falls on the same day, as well as in a 9 year. It’s the United State’s 240th Birthday, making this a sure indication that new things are in store for the US this year, including a new president.
The July 19th Full Moon in Capricorn brings disruption from the Uranus in Aries square. Since 2010 Uranus has been rather a bully, forcing us to move into new directions, ready or not. This Full Moon brings in a double square, Sun, Moon, Uranus, indicating a pushy and disturbing energy that makes it difficult with travel plans and/or completing anything.

Aries (3/21 – 4/20)
July brings a chance to spend some time with your loved ones. Around the 5th a dream concerning housing comes true with either a new home, or redoing your current one. What a great month for entertaining or to be out having fun. Be careful about money matters at month’s end. This may not be resolved quickly.
Taurus (4/21-5/21)
In July you want to stay home, stay put, and enjoy the company of your family and loved ones. Family cookouts and gatherings with friends will keep you content and comfortable. If you’re concerned about your business, or up for any kind of a review, you really don’t have anything to worry about. Enjoy your success.
Gemini (5/21-6/20)
July is the perfect month for family outings and trips with the kids. You may hear some news about a new arrival. Recreation is at the very top of your priority list, and maybe a bit of romance, too. As for money, stability will be restored around the 20th or shortly thereafter. If you’ve been meaning to visit with an older friend or the elderly, take the time to do so in early August.
Cancer (6/21-7/22)
July brings a time to kick back and enjoy. Just be sure to warn the kids that the hours you spend being their personal chauffeur will be drastically cut. Get out the grill. If a friend comes to you with a serious relationship-oriented problem, hugs will most definitely be in order. You are usually very supportive.
Leo (7/23-8/22)
Although you worked very hard in June, Leo, July brings you a chance to get back to your normally active social life. The same argument about how you spend too much time away from the home-front could open up again. If they have a point you want to put in some quality time, and all of your attention. Ready for a pat on the back from a higher-up, Leo? One comes around mid-month, because your efforts to “get something right” pays off.
Virgo (8/23-9/22)
As July opens, you may find that you’re ready to take on that leadership role of a group that’s currently leaderless. Becoming a Den mother or father might be fun as well. Don’t allow yourself to get into a skirmish around the 11th and count to ten before you speak. If you’re in the market for now housing, you may find your dream spot around the 20th.
Libra (9/23-10/22)
July brings a bright focus to you Libras involving fun-loving, romantic trysts. You’re attractive and dramatic on every level. It’s not hard to imagine you as the star of the show. If you do perform, regardless of where or for whom, you can count on it going very well. Also, you can expect to be the center of attention for someone simply delicious.
Scorpio (10/ 23-11/22)
July promises to be a wonderful month for you Scorpios. This is a good time to do some gardening or fill up the pool for the kids. If single, you could meet a new summer flame, if married, enjoy a family cookout. You’ll enjoy being home, and you won’t be lonely, for sure.
Sagittarius (11/23-12/21)
Early in July your idea of fun will be hanging out at home with the ones you love. Your ruling planet, generous Jupiter, has an excellent month set up for you. The big J will pass out some loving energy for financial gains, and you’ll know you’re loved by your close family and friends. What could be better?

July keeps you busy puttering around your nest with your significant other. This is a great time to garden or spruce up sections of your home with a fresh coat of paint. If you’re single, pay attention to anyone who strikes your fancy. You may not actually get together until around the Full Moon on the 18th, but the anticipation makes things more exciting. Right?
Aquarius (1/20-2/18)
Early July brings some family time, closeness, and fun. The weekend of July 8th will be delightful, and you may even get a surprise about a brand-new family member. If you’ve been seeing someone and keeping it under wraps, now is the time for family and friend introductions. This romance could be the stuff long-lasting relationships are made of. It’s also a time to make some good money. Just be careful of overspending and how you use your plastic.
Pisces (2/19-3/20)
July is your kind of month, Pisces. There are so many planets in water signs, so you’ll be comfortable expressing your feelings. Weather you’re single or attached, you can expect lots of sweet romance. The New Moon on the 4th could bring along a new romance, or new arrival to the family. If you’re looking for a new high-ticket item, or putting down a deposit for a distant trip, rest assured a good time will be had by all.
