WORKING YOUR CHAKRAS MEDITATION

Take three deep, relaxing breaths.

Begin to sense the White Light entering your Crown Chakra. Visualize in front of you a red circle. Try to see it clearly or at least sense the color red around you. Bring this red circle, spinning clockwise, into your body through the Third Eye, and move it down your spine to the coccyx, or spine base and place this energized red spinning wheel there. Think to yourself the Sutra words for this First Chakra energy — foundation, security, stability, balance.

Take three deep, relaxing breaths.

Visualize in front of you an orange circle. Try to see it clearly or at least sense the color orange around you. Bring this orange circle, spinning clockwise, into your body through the Third Eye, and move it down your spine to the space between both asis hip bones, and place this energized orange spinning wheel there. Think to yourself the Sutra words for this Second Chakra energy — receive, purification, creativity, desire.

Take three deep, relaxing breaths.

Visualize in front of you a green circle. Try to see it clearly or at least sense the color green around you. Bring this green circle, spinning clockwise, into your body through the Third Eye, and move it down your spine to the space behind the naval, and place this energized green spinning wheel there. Think to yourself the Sutra words for this Third Chakra energy — intention, will, strength, integrity, action.

Take three deep, relaxing breaths.

Visualize in front of you a yellow circle. Try to see it clearly or at least sense the color yellow around you. Bring this yellow circle, spinning clockwise, into your body through the Third Eye, and move it down your spine to the space behind the naval, and place this energized yellow spinning wheel there. Think to yourself the Sutra words for this Fourth Chakra energy — love, peace, harmony, laughter.

Take three deep, relaxing breaths.

Visualize in front of you a light blue circle. Try to see it clearly or at least sense the color light blue around you. Bring this light blue spinning circle into your body through the Third Eye, and move it down your spine to the space behind the naval, and place this energized light blue spinning wheel there. Think to yourself the Sutra words for this Fifth Chakra energy — expression, affluence, communication, abundance.

Take three deep, relaxing breaths.

Visualize in front of you an indigo six-pointed star within a circle that is really two triangles, one inverted placed over the other, which is right side up. These triangles represent the earthly, mundane world joining forces with the psychic universal consciousness. Try to see this spinning circle clearly or at least sense the color indigo around you. Bring this indigo six-pointed star within a spinning circle of light into your body through the Third Eye, and place this energized indigo six-pointed star behind your Third Eye. Think to yourself the Sutra words for this Sixth Chakra energy — knowledge, wisdom, forgiveness, freedom.

Take three deep, relaxing breaths.

Visualize in front of you a violet, thousand-petal lotus flower. Try to see it clearly or at least sense the color violet around you. Bring this violet, thousand-petal lotus flower into your body through the Third Eye, and place this lotus flower within a spinning circle of violet light, at the crown, or top of your head. Allow the petals to open wide, accepting the White Light of Shakti energy coming down from above. This links the chakra energy to the energy of the divine. Think to yourself the Sutra words for this Seventh Chakra energy—infinity, bliss, immortality, grace.

Take three deep, relaxing breaths.

Now, sit in this energy for one minute, allowing the chakra energy to merge with the White Light of the Divine. Feel this energy fill you and energize you from head to toe. Then, slowly, begin to move your chakras up and out of your body, through the Third Eye.

Take the red circle and move it up into the orange circle, then up into the yellow circle, then up into the light blue circle, on up to the Third Eye indigo six-pointed star and out into the atmosphere of the universe. Release your chakras. Now, move up to the Crown Chakra. Close the petals of the violet lotus flower and bring it down and out through the Third Eye. Release your chakras—send them back out into the universe to become re-energized for when you need them again.

Continue to sit still and quietly meditate for two minutes or longer if you choose. Surround yourself with White Light. Tighten your aura with White Light, as if you were inside an eggshell. When you are comfortable and sense that you are surrounded by the White Light of Spirit, think to yourself, “I am a child of God. May He grant me health, protection and guidance.”

End the meditation by taking three deep breaths and arise to continue your day when you are ready.
