The Sun has entered LIBRA
Libra, representing the scales of justice and inability to make decisions, follows the Autumn Equinox and signifies the communion feast. It’s time to bring all of our relationships into balance. As you follow the pathway of open communication with loved ones and key people in your life, your social sense grows, bringing opportunities to strongly influence the community and promote its welfare. While the fine arts and cultural affairs are your playground, remember to anchor ideals and visions in material form. Your charm, persuasiveness and grace can win you public admiration. Libra, the second air sign, reminds you to seek peace of mind and balance your male and female energies. Enjoy periods of quiet contemplation, but don’t allow them to become episodes of day dreaming and escape from reality. Your ultimate need at this stage is to be a firm decision maker and not sit on the fence as you so like to do.
HUGH, unexpected changes are on the way, so prepare for some excitement, instability, and much drama! Opportunities will be popping up everywhere, so many that you might feel torn when deciding among all the possible next big things to come your way. Be ready for positive changes and perhaps a dream or two coming true. Do not lose sleep over this uncertainty that you may experience now, however. Libra stars reveal that solutions are close at hand, and FATE will soon provide you with the answers and direction you are looking for.

ANIMAL: CROW — Spiritual Law
Crow…
Are you cawing
So I may know the secret of balance,
Within my Soul?
Or are you sending
Your sacred “caw”
Just to remind me,
Of the Universal Laws?
Crow has always been fascinated with her own shadow. She kept looking for it, scratching at it, pecking at it, until one day her shadow woke up and became alive. (One’s shadow is one’s dark side, the part of us that remembers past-lives and can soul travel.) Then the crow ate her shadow. Crow is Dead Crow now. (The expression Eat Crow comes form this ancient knowledge of Crow’s fate.)
Dead Crow is the Left-Handed Guardian. If you look deeply into Crow’s eyes, you will have found the gateway into the supernatural. Crow knows the unknowable mysteries of creation and is the keeper of sacred law.
Since Crow is the keeper of sacred law, Crow can bend the laws of the physical Universe and shape shift. This ability is rare and unique. Few can adapt easily in today’s world, and fewer still have mastered Crow’s art of shape shifting. This art includes doubling, or being in two places at the same time consciously, taking another physical form, or becoming the fly on the wall to observe what is happening far away.
The Europeans that came to Turtle Island were named the boat people by slow turtle. Even with the knowledge of alchemy possessed by certain boat people, none had ever seen the powerful shape shifting of Shaman’s who utilized Crow medicine. Many people were frightened by what appeared to be animals coming into their camps or dwellings, to discern their medicine. Crow medicine people are masters of illusion.
All sacred text are under the protection of Crow. Creator’s Book of Laws or Book of Seals is bound in Crow feathers. Crow feathers tell of spirit made flesh. Crow is also the protector of the ogallah or ancient records, perhaps stored in Egypt.
The Sacred Law Belts beaded by native women long before the boat people or Europeans came to the continent of North America, contain knowledge of the Great Spirit’s laws, and are kept in the Black Lodges, the lodges of women. The law that states that all things are born of woman is signified by the Crow.
Children are taught to behave according to the rules of a particular culture. Most orthodox religious systems create a mandate concerning acceptable behavior within the context of worldly affairs. Do this and so, and you will go to heaven. Do thus and so, and you will go to hell. Different formulas for salvation are demanded by each true faith.
Human Law is not the same as Sacred Law. More so than any other medicine, Crow sees that the physical world and even the spiritual world, as humanity interpreted them, are an illusion. There are billions of worlds. There are an infinitude of creatures. Great Spirit is within all. If an individual obeys Crow’s perfect laws, as given by the Creator, than at death he or she dies a good medicine death – going on into the next incarnation with a clear memory of his or her past.
Crow is the Omen of Change — and during these weeks of October 2019 Libra energies – that is what to expect. Crow lives in the void and has no sense of time. The Ancient Chiefs tell us that Crow sees simultaneously the three fates – past, present, and future. Crow merges light and darkness, physical and shadow, seeing both inner and outer reality.
October 2019 will be the time for us to pause and reflect – and to show others how we see the Laws of Great Spirit in relation to the Laws of Humanity. Crow medicine signifies a first hand knowledge of a higher order of right and wrong; that of that which is indicated by the laws of human culture. With Crow medicine – one speaks in a powerful voice when addressing issues that for you seem out of harmony, out of balance, out of whack, or unjust.
Remember, Crow looks at the world with first one eye, and then the other, cross-eyed. In the Mayan culture, crossed-eyes had the privilege and duty of looking into the future. You must put aside your fears of being a voice lost in the wilderness and caw the shots as you see them. For one and all – for the betterment of the world and all that dwells within! Caw – Natural Law – Caw – Natural Law!
As you learn to look within first and allow your personal integrity to be your guide, your sense of feeling alone will vanish. Your personal will can then emerge so that you stand in your truth. The prime path of true Crow people says to be mindful of your opinions and actions. Be willing to walk your talk, speak your truth, know your life’s mission, and balance past, present, and future into the NOW. Shape shift that old reality and become your future self. Allow the bending of physical laws to aid in creating the shape shift to create world peace.
Honor the past as your teacher, honor the present as your creation, honor the future as your inspiration. Call on Crow to shift your own creation into your new reality.

Hagalaz represents the urge to change. This Rune brings freedom, invention, and liberation. The time of October energies of 2019 indicate a pressing need within the psyche to break free from constricting identification with material reality and to experience the world of archetypal mind.
Hagalaz is the Rune of elemental disruption, representing unaccountable weather conditions, sudden storms, winds and events beyond your control. The energies of October will be a time of Awakening although the form in which the awakening takes may vary for each one of us. Perhaps you will experience a gradual feeling of coming to your senses, as though you were emerging from a long sleep. Then again, the onset of power may be such as to rip away the fabric of what you previously knew as your reality, your security, your understanding of yourself, your work, your relationships and beliefs.
Be aware, however, that what operates here is not ultimately an outside force, not a situation of you at the mercy of the externals. Your own nature is creating what is happening and you are not without power in the situation. The inner strength you have funded until now in your life is your support and guide at a time when everything you’ve taken for granted is being challenged.
This time of October 2019 puts us all on notice! Severe changes are on the way as we enter a new decade! You may sustain loss or damage, a tree may fall on your home, your town may be hit by a tidal wave, or tornadoes, a relationship may fail, plans go wrong, a source of financial supply may dry up. Be forewarned! Be encouraged to understand and accept that what occurs is necessary, called for from somewhere within in your deepest self as a cry for a pressing need for soul growth.
There is nothing trivial about this Rune. The more severe the disruption in your life, the more significant and timely the requirements for your growth. The term radical discontinuity best describes the action of this time, a Cycle of Runes at its most forceful. The Universe and your own Soul are demanding that you do, indeed, grow.
Don’t be afraid to make the leap or take the chance.
This has always been the section for Healing Requests. Through the power of group prayers, healing take place spontaneously. You can be of help to many others, as well as your loved ones, with one minute of silence at 7:30 pm EST every Sunday evening anywhere in the world. With a prayer for the recovery of health, universal energy is sent out to any and all who send in their prayer request. What is needed is the name and birth date of the ill person, along with a diagnosis, if possible. What are you asking to be lifted? When you place your request in the Healing Circle of Light—located in our Prayer Room; know that as soon as you make your Prayer request and Healing request, you will begin to see positive results!

October finds you completely and utterly distracted. Take a break from thinking everything to death to just living life, a day or a moment at a time. It’s time to move past your default position of believing that your rational mind is the only source of awareness in your world. Open your heart, Gemini!

October brings a time of wanting to stay home and hunker down. You may want to change your physical surroundings or redecorate. It may be time to close the door on some of the relationships in your life as well.

October tests your patience as any action you take hits obstacle after obstacle. Well, “shake my head”. You know there’s no logical reason for these roadblocks. How about letting go, and allow matters to solve themselves. With all this, every time you accomplish something, you want to throw up your hands and walk away. Remember, your tolerance is at a low ebb so don’t roar too loudly. You don’t need to dump it on the rest of the world.

October brings awareness of the ebb and flow that life brings. You feel as if you need to take a step back from what was initiated in September.
