MEDITATION
The Companionship of the Unseen
Do not separate the heavens from earth, but strive rather to draw yourself closer to others and establish a strong relationship with your inner guides, the unseen masters and meld into the unlimited powers of the Source. Be in Partnership with your Blessed Higher Self.
If you will hold steadfast to your path, where you have been guided from past lives and your internal guides, you will find a treasure to this life. You can walk in the FLOW of a never-ending stream of unseen help, healing and happiness. Your inner guides and beloved masters are on this road by your side. Not one of you stands alone! You have only to meditate, pray and ask in simple trust, and you shall receive whatever you need. It shall be supplied. Your guides know your innermost needs and will comfort you and lead you to green pastures and beside still, clear waters.
When you become stressed, depressed or fearful, there is no strength of flowing health in you. Yes – the trials of life can bring about depression and lower your vitality, but this lowered vibration can be overcome by the Spirit of Joy and by the eternal light of God within you, which must be sought. Raise the curtain, open the window of light, and allow the Soul to bathe within the sunlight of God’s love – everyday.
When the weaker human self stumbles along the path, the Blessed Higher Self must take over with strong control and direction. Trust a little more! Those who do not understand Divine Law will say, “A miracle has happened.” However- the miracles are the divine powers of manifestation flowing with your own Soul.
The Sun has entered CAPRICORN
The sign of CAPRICORN, in many ways, is the most misunderstood and mysterious signs of the zodiac. Following the Winter Solstice and the Full Moon’s closeness to the earth, you can reach the summit of material achievements or suffer the pangs of myrterdom. As your mind opens to spiritual laws and teachings, apply what you learn in a pragmatic and businesslike manner, and sidestep the isolation that afflicts many born under the earth sign signified by the determined Goat and the legendary Unicorn. Keep on relentlessly moving up your private mountaintop to worldly prominence. While conservative work methods are the golden rule, don’t get trapped in a crystalized lifestyle that prevents flexibility and invites emotional rigidity. When you take command of your dynamic thinking process and concentrate on objectives with clarity, executive leadership will crown your valiant efforts.
Based on the Rune (Disruption) and Animal (Squirrel), January brings a focus on secrets coming to the surface that forces you to take long-awaited action. Perhaps this will be a move, the beginning of legal issues, or walking off the job to a better one. Whatever these issues are, just remember that it all is a part of leaving 2013 behind, and opening up to new energies, inspiration, creativity and new beginnings. 2014 is the year of comfort and security as long as you can flow, open, embrace, and work with the upcoming changes.

ANIMAL: SQUIRREL – Gathering
Squirrel, you have gathered

Squirrel teaches us to plan ahead for the winter when the trees are bare and the nuts have long since disappeared. Squirrel medicine can come in many forms, as this furry creature is very diverse in nature. The erratic behavior of Squirrel has bested many a forlorn hunter, and it thus stands to reason that there are benefits to being able to circle a branch at lightening speed. This erratic behavior of Squirrel can also get nerve-wracking if you are dealing with anyone who has Squirrel medicine. Trying to calm them down enough to accomplish something may drive you nuts.
The driving power of Squirrel medicine — similar to Capricorn energies in high gear — is a great gift. It teaches you how to gather and store your energy for times of need. It teaches you to reserve something for future use, whether it be a judgment, opinion, savings account, candles, or extra food and water. To put it into a nutshell, Squirrel is the Boy Scout or Girl Scout of the animal kingdom. They are always prepared.
At this unstable time in our world, of changing times and fortunes, it is the wise person who prepares for the future. Our prophesies have all spoken of the great changes to come. Squirrel is a friendly medicine to have, in the light of a possible future of rainy days. The next three years will be most difficult for many of us. The message at the time of Capricorn energies of 2014 is to be prepared, but don’t go nuts with it. Love yourself enough to gather the goods that will meet your needs in a time of scarcity, even if that time never comes. Especially energy needs for the snowy, winter months ahead.
Squirrel has come into our lives at this time of Capricorn energy – and is gathering as we begin the New Year. We are all being told to honor our futures by readying ourselves for change. The message is to lighten your load if you have gathered too much of the things in life that do not serve you. These things can include thoughts, worries, pressures, stresses, jobs, worn-out relationships, or gadgets that have been broken for years. In understanding the balance involved in gathering, you need to look at the idea of re-circulating the stock of that which you have gathered over the years. Call the nearest thrift store and give the gadgets or unwanted clothes to someone who can benefit from them. If something no longer works for you, or it has been discarded for more than two years, it is time to let it go.
Squirrel has another lesson to give to you which can aid you if you observe what is obvious, and which can prepare you for anything. It has to do with the safe place in which to put your gatherings. This safe place is an untroubled heart and mind, and that which is gathered is put into this place to gain wisdom and caring. These energies gathered, through quiet time and reflective meditation, will set your heart and mind free, so you will know that all will be taken care of in its own time. Apply this energy to your fears about the coming future, and the fears will vanish, replaced by guidance and wisdom.

Garnet: Strengthens, purifies, vitalizes and regenerates bodily systems, especially the bloodstream. Has strong connection with the Root Chakra. Balances hemispheres of the brain. Rosequartz: Aids the kidneys and circulatory system. Has a strong connection to the Heart Chakra. Increases fertility. Eases sexual and emotional imbalances. Helps clear away stored up energies of anger, guilt, fear, resentment, jealousy. Cools a hot temper. Reduces stress and tensions in the body. Helps to bring in forgiveness and compassion. Absorbs “Love Thoughts” and transmits them back to you with a higher purification. The Love Stone.
RUNE OF THE MONTH
Hagalaz
Disruptive Natural Forces, Elemental Power, Hail
Hagalaz represents the urge to change. This Rune brings freedom, invention and liberation. The time of March energies 2005 indicate a pressing need within the psyche to break free from constricting identification with material reality and to experience the world of archetypal mind.
Hagalaz is the Rune of elemental disruption, representing unaccountable weather conditions, sudden storms, winds and events beyond your control. The energies of Capricorn will be a time of Awakening although the form in which the awakening takes may vary for each one of us. Perhaps you will experience a gradual feeling of coming to your senses, as though you were emerging from a long sleep. Then again, the onset of power may be such as to rip away the fabric of what you previously knew as your reality, your security, your understanding of yourself, your work, your relationships and beliefs.
Be aware, however, that what operates here is not ultimately an outside force, not a situation of you at the mercy of the externals. Your own nature is creating what is happening and you are not without power in the situation. The inner strength you have funded until now in your life, is your support and guide at a time when everything you’ve taken for granted is being challenged.
This time of January 2014 puts us all on notice! Severe changes are on the way! You may sustain loss or damage, a tree may fall on your home, your town may be hit by a tidal wave, or tornadoes, a relationship may fail, plans go wrong, a source of financial supply may dry up. Be forewarned! Be encouraged to understand and accept that what occurs is necessary, called for from somewhere within in your deepest self as a cry and a pressing need for Soul growth.
There is nothing trivial about this RUNE. The more severe the disruption in your life, the more significant and timely the requirements for your growth. The term radical discontinuity best describes the action of this time, a Cycle of Runes at its most forceful. The Universe and your own Soul are demanding that you do, indeed, grow.
Don’t be afraid to make the leap or take the chance.

New Years Day will get the ball rolling for you Taurus, especially in regards of your career. Just know there will be a price, but you emerge victorious.
Gemini (5/21-6/20)
As the New Year opens your pace of life, conversations, and your social life will pick up. However, there will be several tug-of-wars regarding your personal money matters, as well as what’s mine and what’s yours. Try to do this peacefully.
Cancer (6/21-7/22)
Tension with you and others could be running high this month, Cancer. You may have to assert yourself, but you’re fed up and not willing to back down. Well, good for you! You can’t hide your feelings, so take time for a serious chat.
Leo (7/23-8/22)
You really don’t want to stop partying as the New Year opens, Leo, but work insists that you must take care of your responsibilities. All work and no lay can make January a difficult month. Don’t worry, your friends won’t forget you.

January brings in interaction and exciting conversations with your siblings, neighbors, and oldest son. It’s the perfect time to learn about your computer as well. You are busy managing your resources, and you may have some required attention to family matters. There may be a power struggle over money, possessions, and other resources. Talk to an authority figure for advice.
Capricorn (12/22-1/19)
As January opens, you are planning a complete makeover, Capricorn. Time to shine a light on your physical appearance to the outer world. You have charisma and charm now, and are certainly “getting noticed.” Watch your spending this month!
Aquarius (1/20-2/18)
You are shy and retired in January, Aquarius. You need to recharge your batters after the Holiday socializing. Time to spend quality time alone. You love interesting, intellectual companions and this month you are able to find them. It may be time to update your computer system as currently as possible.

January brings the chance for you Pisces to start over in two different areas of your life; friendships and taking a leadership role. Watch your health, get some quiet time and meditate daily, if possible. Your Karma’s up and you must do the right thing when it comes to friendships this month. If someone needs you, respond to them.
