STARGAZING—Week of Jan. 11th – Jan. 17th, 2016

The week opens under the influence of a friendly Aquarius moon. You are supported in reaching out to new people or old friendships, but be sure to keep it light and easy.

Saturn-solarsystOn Tuesday afternoon, harmonious Venus makes a happy alignment with eclectic Uranus. Leave work early to visit with friends, or just find some way to step away from humdrum routines. Venus in Sagittarius wants to have a party, and Uranus in Aries wants to go somewhere new and different. Make it a memorable evening.

Depending on how you look at it, Wednesday, January 13th (supposedly the birth date of Satan) is either the best or the worst day of the week. It begins positive as the Capricorn Sun trines Jupiter in Virgo. Even though Jupiter is retrograde, the power of the Sun can still make this a day of grounding your dreams into reality, making it an exciting, expansive and visionary time. The moon in Pisces helps you open up to you intuitive abilities as well as to practice compassion for people or animals. This favors doing something big. If you need more, whatever that more may be, the 13th is a great day to claim more by meditating and expanding your belief system.

The clouds roll in on Wednesday afternoon with a difficult square between the Pisces Moon and the Venus-Saturn merger in Sag that is still in play from last week. With these two conditions offsetting each other on the same day, the yellow caution light is still blinking, so slow down!

mercury RetrogradeMercury and the Sun in Capricorn join together the next morning to make an “inferior” conjunction. This type of an alignment happens four times a year and brings up past issues. Expect a lot of talk or gossip on Thursday, but don’t believe everything you hear.

White_House_north_sideBecause this energy is in powerful Capricorn, and Capricorn rules heads of state and the government, this could indicate a significant resignation or overthrow. Ask yourself if this is a coincidence as it coincides with the State of the Union Address on Tuesday, January 12th. I am certain that Obama’s new policy proposals will create a campaign-style conflict with Republicans over basic values. Someone else could quit the presidential race as well.

For us middle class, or the little guys, this signals a time for introspection.

Be sure to do something physical on Friday and Saturday under an “I have to move my body” Aries moon. Next week promises to be a busy week as well.
