STARGAZING —Week of April 4th to April 10th, 2016

Apr 1, 2016 | Monthly Astrology|Stargazing

horse and riderGet ready for a bumpy ride, as promised, because the celestial lineup for this week includes two planets entering new signs on the same day, a Super-moon New Moon in Aries, and the Sun making its once a year connection to three different planets.

Tuesday, April 5th is both busy and exciting because the Sun and Saturn offer the gift of an inspiring fire trine, then Venus and Mercury both switch signs, Mercury moving into Taurus and Venus moving into Aries. When lovely Venus exchanges the watery, emotional Pisces energies for fiery Aries, it points love and finances into a whole new direction. However Venus is not her loving best in this “me first” type of energy; this is not always a bad thing because if you’re always the giver in a relationship, the next four weeks will be the time for you to take your share. The same day Venus moves into Aries, Mercury moves out of Aries into Taurus. Because Taurus is a slow-moving earthbound energy, when Mercury pays a visit, the style of communication becomes more measured and considered. You may as well get used to this communications s-l-o-w- d-o-w-n, because this year the Mercury/Taurus duo will be hanging around much longer than usual, as Mercury retrogrades on the 28th. This equals a nine-week extravaganza instead of the usual three weeks, extending into mid-June.

Transiting Sun squaring Pluto on the 6th may increase your need to handle something from the past, but can also lead to ego conflicts with other powerful people and authority figures. A crisis or conflict with someone makes for an intense experience, which can lead to extreme or destructive behavior from out of left field. Don’t allow yourself to be forced into a corner where you have to either defend your position, or make a major change.

The DevilThe intense experience can trigger deeply buried issues involving fears of death, being abused, tortured, or persecuted. These deeply rooted fears may even be past-life related, or relate to more recent brushes with the dark side of life.

Once you gain consciousness of the reasons that you feel such anxiety, you can evolve to a higher level and let thing go, relax, and feel less threatened. In reality, fear is just another thought. This transformation is like a rebirth and will leave you with a greater sense of inner power.

The New Moon in Aries is on Thursday April 7th, is focused on Uranus, the planet of change and excitement. Circle this date on your calendar because this New Moon carries the best energy of the year to initiate any kind of project over the next two weeks. This New Moon aligns with Uranus to create a link from the past to the future. The past is represented by the chaos and upheaval of Uranus square Pluto energies that have just completed their seven transits. The future brings the more orderly and structured change of Saturn’s trine Uranus.

Other features of this New Moon indicates that caution is needed when dealing with this transitioning change, especially if that change involves your love life or finances, which it usually does. The New Moon joins Uranus, indicating that change, excitement, and higher awareness are the major themes of the next few weeks. There are two other aspects to the New Moon that are important; the trine to Saturn and the square to Pluto.

This transit highlights the two most important planetary aspects of this time. Uranus square Pluto is waning now, after years of causing fast changes, chaos, and upheaval. Saturn trine Uranus is relatively new, and brings more structured change for the remainder of the year.

Sun in TaurusThis month represents a transition from one type of change to another; from chaotic and unexpected change to planned and structured change. Saturn retrograde through mid-August suggests that this transitioning change should be taken slowly and cautiously in the beginning. Be sure not to make any rash decisions. Just take your time with important matters.

On Saturday, April 9th, the fiery Aries Sun conjuncting Uranus, meet up for their annual conference call, signaling a time of excitement, unexpected change, freedom, and rebellion. You should feel a strong urge to break free from routine, doing something totally different from your normal activities. To avoid restlessness and nervous tension, it is better to be active and look to do something out of the ordinary, rather than wait for change to happen to you. This is powerful energy and certain to be a game changer.

astroworld1Sometimes the Sun conjunct Uranus transit can manifest as unexpected and unpleasant changes, which cause upsetting disruptions to the status quo as well as your life. (Keep you eye on the World news as well as the political arena.)

This transit can open up your consciousness to higher vibrations, perhaps resulting in greater self-awareness or even deeper psychic perceptions. Remaining flexible and open-minded will certainly increase the chances of more pleasant surprises and thrilling experiences. You could meet new and unconventional types of people, or those from very different cultural or social backgrounds than yourself.

A more negative expression of this electric and impulsive energy would be to take unnecessary risks or rebel against authority, just for the sake of it. This would not only be dangerous, as Uranus rules sudden and/or quick accidents, but also can damage your position at work, and cause confrontation or aggressive reaction from superiors.

Between the sign changes, the Sun connections and the active New Moon, this is a week when the window of possibilities flies wide open.
